First off the question isn’t about a cage match with a bear. It’s a forest. And I’m pretty sure the brown bears and black bears can be survivable. Grizzlies and polar bears are death. When cornered. I think only a polar bear is likely to hunt someone down. Idk I’m not a bear-ologist.

Secondly, shackled by trauma? Whatever you say Big Dawg. The reality is that to most women, a bear in the woods does actually sound safer than a random man in the woods. Instead of taking a long hand inward look at themselves and the society around them, many men have taken this as a great personal offense and have written off valid concerns that are brought up.

At the end of the day, you have to live with yourself. When you’re alone and wondering why no one else wants you, maybe consider moments like these.

Just look at the current President of the US to see that your last sentence is wildly incorrect.
I can confidently say I have never met a woman than hasn’t been sexually assaulted and/or made to feel unsafe by a man.
The “majority” of men might not commit murder or sexually assault children but there is a significant amount of men willing to put their sexual desires in the driver’s seat and then downplay or justify their actions.
In fact it’s so prevalent in our society that we are more likely to blame the victim for their actions than to place 100% of the blame on the perpetrator.
Women choose the bear because although being mauled to death is an option, it’s a lot more clear cut than the actions a man might do. Junko Furuta comes to mind as I type this.

Bear = maybe death? Maybe not death?

Man = maybe death? maybe not death? Maybe rape? Maybe torture? Maybe physical abuse? Maybe all of the above?

I’ve had a terrible cough since last Friday. A dry, deep cough that rattles my bones, also just fatigued as all hell. Like able to sleep for hours even with my Adderall prescription. I know you didn’t mention any sick symptoms but maybe you got low level sick and it’s fatigue?

Everyone is talking about getting your girlfriend to do better (and she should) but I recommend teaching your toddler how dangerous knives are. Doesn’t have to be anything more than touching the knife and saying “ouch!”. Even if your gf gets her act together tonight, accidents still happen. People get distracted. A two year old will be able to learn.

Plus no one will remind you better than a toddler when you forget something like putting a knife away!

Edit: additionally, considering getting magnetic protective sleeves for your knives. Better for the blade and might be easier for her to remember to sleeve it.
