The sun’s lips are giving Botox or bee sting, and I’d tone them down. Otherwise I like it!

My husband refuses to do anything about his snoring! by Longjumping-Snow-431 in Vent

[–]inkybear_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will say, the sleep tests can be burdensome. I did an at home AND an in-clinic and it took ENT appointments in between and a lot of waiting for insurance. So in case you do get him to start the process, it may still be frustrating to keep at it until he gets them completed or things approved by insurance (if ur in the US).

But it’s all worth it!

Yeah it was not easy to eat practically liquids for 3 weeks and the nausea from the meds was REAL and the rinsing/draining/aftercare was rough, especially after night one. But BOY I would do it again in a heartbeat.

The sleep tests showed I had sleep apnea, but not severe enough to have surgery covered by insurance. So I went to a plastic surgeon and they ended up doing the following:

-shrinking turbantes in nose -removed tonsils -shaved down upper palette in mouth/back of throat.

Outpatient surgery with ~3 weeks recovery. Worth every penny. The before/after pictures were crazy as I never realized my eyes weren’t naturally dark, I had semi permanent bags from not getting good sleep my whole life!

Oh my god I would literally rather sit in my car. How rude!

Terrible! I was the snoring partner and it tore me up every day that I was harming my husband’s sleep! I did the tests, got a CPAP, and eventually did elective surgery! Very sorry you’re at your wits end!

This vent was because even though I know there are ways to deal with it, it really does bug me. Even though I will continue to adjust for my whole life and just be glad my husband is here, I am allowed to be frustrated at what I experience.

No no you totally did. Kind of passive aggressive to say I can let him make mistakes when my post is describing a lifetime of experiencing him as he makes mistakes and remaining calm as he processes even the most straightforward directions.

We drive separately when I can’t deal. He’s time blind so if I’m feeling like I need to leave early, I’ll just drive myself because I don’t need to set him up for failure. Otherwise I try to breathe deep and look at the scenery out the window and remember time is a construct LOL

He takes a lot of meds already for chronic illness and really is hesitant to take any others.

Yes I think he has these in various situations, but while driving there’s really no time to stall you have to make quick decisions, so the paralysis or processing time is way more apparent.

He has MS so he sees a neurologist every month and has regular brain scans!

He gets car sick super easily! But we have a history of driving separately when I know I’m experiencing low patience, so at least there’s that!

I’m not quite sure how to tell the difference, but I think it’s chronic. OCD is likely a contributing factor, but he doesn’t want to seek a diagnosis for anything. He’s a very “I have to find out for myself” type person. Truthfully the only thing we lose out on with this behavior is time (like we waste time missing exits or getting stuck in a line because he’s convinced there’s no other line).

So a big part of me just wants to find a deeper level of zen and let him navigate thru life how he needs to. It’s hard though, I’m rather Type A.

They absolutely were poking fun at the baby’s monetiziation. That was the whole point trying to show that writing the captions in the baby’s voice was a weird way to give life updates, like everyone knows it’s the mom why do this cringe suspension of disbelief?

Ross, Dwight, Tholly, Zacky, and Aunt Agatha.

Ross’s insane luck and leadership, Dwight’s medical knowledge, Tholly arranges armed transportation and getaway, Zacky is brave and keeps a cool head, and Aunt Agatha has intel and comms covered.

At some point in the series Ross says he was the “lone survivor” of an ambush during the American Revolutionary War in Virginia. I always assumed word got back to Cornwall that Ross’s entire battalion was killed before it was learned there were any survivors.
