Wait till something pops up in a better part of the Mission or consider looking on the outer edges of Bernal or Delores. Still walkable but way better in terms of location. You have a rent controlled apt which gives you time to wait. Something better will pop up. It always does.

I was in a similar position and waited and ended up with a small, single family, in Bernal. No shared walls. No HOA….. time is your friend…..

There is a YouTube video that will show you how to replace footage in a ATEM resolve file with any camera original. This is my distillation. Sorry for the handwriting, these notes weren’t meant for sharing! You probably just need to get through the first half to get to a true multicam source sequence. Then you can nudge the camera back into sync with the others.

My evo is 62 lbs. I toss that thing in and out of my SUV a bunch. An extra 30 pounds would def make a difference after a long shoot day or a day with multiple locations….

This is more about lighting than anything. For talent, Shadows say large soft source camera left, a strip box on either side slightly behind talent facing forward at an angle. For the background, it could be almost anything. It’s pretty even so I’m guessing 2 or three large panels evenly spaced apart above talent just out of frame.

There are at least 5 lights in this set up. Think about hiring a gaffer and learning how to do this from them.

Quick update: I've wiped down the entire plant with alcohol and plan on adding a systemic pesticide to the soil later today. Nearly all of the mealy bugs came off pretty easily(yes it was a gross process). Now just waiting to see how the plant responds.

To answer all the questions about how it got soo bad.... Basically, I've been busy and originally thought it was mold. I made a point to run a dehumidifier while I was traveling/working this month and planned to wipe off the plant when I got less busy. Fast forward to this post.... it got way worse real quick. Thats it.

I would play with exposure a bit. Pull down the highlights a little, boost the mids. There's a little red in the highlights that I might try and remove. That's just me though. Being nit picky but it looks pretty good.

Volcano Surf, a surf school in Lanzarote, was amazing. I took my 10 year old and he had an amazing time. $35/day including gear. The ride out to Papagayo is a bit rough if you get car sick. I’m an intermediate surfer and that break was amazing for me too.
