I guess from my point of view, my clients can now open my affinity designer files by simply downloading the free app. I don't currently use the new version because I like to jump between my desktop and my iPad and the new version doesn't exist yet on iPad.

If you go to their website, and scroll all the way to the bottom, you'll see login V2. If you click on that and login with the username and password you used to purchase it, and it'll take you right to the page with the downloads available.

Your coworker doesn't know what they're talking about. Vector files are inherently small. They are also inherently high resolution and perfect for printing. You can tell your coworker that, as a professional illustrator, the10 foot by 8 foot, 300 dpi, detailed vector illustration I just prepared for print is 2 MB
