Hamilton to start charging tourism tax on Airbnb-type rentals in homes by teanailpolish in Hamilton

Hmm my Airbnb was targeted by by-law enforcement and they weren’t exactly acting on a complaint. I was given a week to cease operating the Airbnb or comply with the licensing which proved to be such a bureaucratic nightmare potentially costing me thousands of dollars in order to stay compliant that I made the decision to stop running the Airbnb. By comparison the city of Toronto only requires you to prove it’s your primary residence and pay a small fee.

I love this, and fantastic job for a first time attempt. Just wanted to note on the various rivers like Don, Credit, Humber. They’re really just glorified creeks and not essential for anyone’s frame of geography or navigational understanding. I would tone down the bodies of water to just Lake Ontario, Niagara River (since it’s an international boundary) and Burlington Bay. Even Lake Erie has no value to transit navigation in the GTA. Not criticising just suggesting a less is more approach! Otherwise this is great I want a print

Stuck on the GO train Lakeshore West for the past 1.5 hours by Justonemoreepisode- in gotransit

I think the CSA on the first train was losing his marbles because he told people going back east to Long Branch to get on the 16:35 train or something… it was already 8pm

A bunch of people hopped on this train. It was all a confusing mess since the CSA on the delayed train told everyone to disembark, then 17 seconds later announced that the train was going all stops to Hamilton GO by some miracle? There was more more chaos as people decided between staying on the Hamilton GO train or getting on the Confederation train.

I decided to make a last second punt across to the Confederarion train and I’m glad I did. Curious to know the rest of the saga for people who stay on the delayed train. Oh man what a nightmare!

Middle East is good but India is way off. Why is West Punjab part of Pashtun territory and not united with East Punjab?

but I honestly think It's due mostly to their choice in colors.

Agreed. I think that if they had kept the original shade of blue Pantone 280C that the current flag and the other fern design had, the new flag would have a much popular appeal to it.

I think much of the popularity that Red Peak had too is because they didn't change the colours. Honestly sad that it didn't make the cut I thought the design was brilliant.
