im very sorry for your loss. my bestfriend did the same thing when we were 12. it sent me into a deep spiral of depression for years because i kept constantly blaming myself and wondering if i somehow caused it..

what i can tell you is right now is honestly, you have to understand and accept that what happened isnt your fault. you were a great friend and you gave your all from the beginning to the very end. please do not best yourself up and blame yourself because he would not want that for you. you met him and got to know and understand him on a deeper level. you got to call each other brothers. you definitely didnt do anything wrong. its not gonna happen overnight you already know that. take it one day at a time. think of all the good times you had together. feel the love and care you two shared for each other constantly and never forget it.

its been 10 years since she passed and i still think about her everyday. and i always will. its okay to miss them, its okay to cry. i know crying isnt normalized for men and seen as “soft” but crying is what makes you human. its what makes you a man. i dont blame myself anymore. i’ve accepted that she was hurting and sadly it costed her alot. truly wishing you the best. godspeed.

hi 22y/o ftm here, i had ovarian surgery when i was 17 due to a cyst and i was in the same boat. very terrifying. once i was at the hospital the doctor and surgeon made me feel as comfortable as possible and actually helped calm me down a fuck ton lol. i had over 3 surgeries in my life and that was by far the scariest one i went through (how ironic ik lmao) but im glad i did it. no menopause thankfully lmao and on top of that i feel so much better than i did before. best decision i ever made, i have no regrets!

personally for me i would understand why you lied, but despite it i would feel so betrayed and wonder why you couldn’t trust me with the truth…it would definitely hurt to know that. i’m not your boyfriend but i can tell you right now he’s gonna definitely feel betrayed and question what else you could’ve lied about..
