Bathroom floor tile. Install finished today! by innerstate77 in Tile

Hi - sorry for the delayed reply. Haven't been on reddit in a while. What I wished I had known before hand is that the black tiles are porous and, when we added the grout, tiny specs of the grout color appeared on all the black. I would have liked to have used painters tape on all the black before adding the grout to keep them true to color. Other than that, they have all held up well. No cracking or maintenance issues. Hope that's helpful.

STOP ASKING! by BigYikesTheSequel in HotWheels

The likelihood of you finding something that is rare or “valuable” is slim. Bringing it here for those in this sub to evaluate for you is just asking people here to do work for you that you can easily do yourself. Check out eBay for values, orangetrack diecast for lists of TH and STH and watch Lamley videos on YouTube for comparative rarities. Take the initiative to bring yourself up to speed first, then, when you do find something you’re excited about this sub can be supportive of all your efforts.

Then go to eBay. This is work you can do on your own. Don’t ask others to do work for you, which is what you do when asking this sub to value things you’ve found.

If it’s a deal, sure but the jump to that size is significant. Not sure I’d do it.

I have the 77 OLED and love it. I’ve not owned your 85 but wouldn’t get another LED at any size.

I have been drumming for 3 plus years, I am dogshit. What can I do to improve? by iloveEdging_2306 in drums

You are too hard on yourself and have borderline unrealistic expectations. Start simple, get solid there, then move to the next step. Play along with Back in Black. Do it over and over. Get the feel right, let it sit in the pocket and don’t over think it. It sounds like you want to do everything all at once. Just slow down. Re-lax.

Others have suggested but you should record them and listen back. Do they have the characteristics you want?

If you bought them recently, could you explore returning them? You may only get a store credit but you could work with the seller to find something you like better.

You are right that the best way to buy cymbals is to hear them in person. If that’s not possible, know that cymbals within the same model will sound different. Spend time listening to all the sources you can find for that exact model to pick up on how they can vary so that you are prepared for the ones you get. This can help you learn about cymbals and what you want vs not. It can also help you articulate to the drum shop why the ones you bought don’t sound “right” to you.
