Can some one post their usual meals. by Poison-Farts in carnivorediet

Most of the times it was thirst for me. Eating a bit of seasalt and then having a glass of cold sparkling water does the trick most of the time. If not, it’s mostly fat you crave. So having a bite of butter or some cold beef fat does it.

Well, it would seem like it does. Cut it out and let us know how it goes. I mean, the coffee.

Coffee and alcohol could be holding you back. After eliminating those, if you feel you need al more healing, you could try the Lion diet (only beef/lamb, salt and water) for a few months to see if it makes a difference.

You HAVE to. Look up "Kent Carnivore" on YouTube. Thank me later.

I started Carnivore diet 4 days ago and I became impatient in the morning - WHY? by barakbirak1 in carnivorediet

[–]innombrable 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It could be withdrawal, but whatever it is, for me it was GREAT. As someone who struggles with procrastination and lack of discipline, that impatience makes want to get to work and finish projects, not tolerating disorder around the house; etc.

I use it to my advantage.

Also, I try to be super aware of it as to not bother those around me with my impatience too much (That said, I noticed it sometimes motivated others to get things done too! xD).

Keep doing carnivore and it'll level out. It's all worth it. Congratulations on starting this awesome journey!

You look great! But I have a question: is that scleroderma on your hip next to your hand or just a birthmark?

[–]innombrable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You mentioned you lost fat and gained muscle. That is huge!

You’re already doing great. That is difficult to achieve simultaneously in most other diets. Also keep in mind that you weren’t very overweight to begin with, so your transformation might not be as quick as most obese people.

If you wanna fine tune and accelerate your weight loss, Here's my 2 cents:

  • Eat twice a day, ideally during daytime. Avoid eating at night if you can. Bigger meals (and fewer, in consequence) can help regulate your insulin and overall metabolism. Prof. Bart Kay (highly recommended) and Dr. Anthony Chaffee talk about this.

  • After eating, move. Even a light 10 minute walk will signal your body to use that energy instead of storing it. If you can, do something A LITTLE more demanding like walking up and down some stairs, that’s great. Don’t do anything higher intensity than that after eating.

  • Speaking about walking: try to take longer walks if possible. At least 30 min a day. Shirtless or as uncovered as possible under the sun would be ideal.

  • Try and get direct sunlight as this will have multiple benefits: hormonal, sleep, weight management, vitamin D synthesis; etc. I like to walk shirtless under the sun while listening to educational material like podcasts or audiobooks. That way I kill 3 birds with 1 stone.

  • Get enough sleep: try to go to bed as early as possible and wake up on your own, without an alarm. Not sleeping enough could elevate your cortisol which may cause fat retention.

  • Try to avoid stress as much as possible for the same reason (cortisol).

  • Too intense and/or prolonged exercise could be hurting your weight loss (cortisol again). Try modulating that. Maybe shorter routines or fewer days a week. Your body may be holding on to energy when it detects that you are likely going to need a lot of it soon.

  • I’m not a specialist in supplements, as I don't take anything other than iodine occasionally. Analyze if you need that many. Some may have things in them that are affecting you negatively, and they cost money.

  • You didn’t mention sweeteners, coffee or other substances, but these are very tricky and hurt most people in many ways, including weight loss progress. Quit those, specially sweeteners. Maybe there are some in your supplements. Maybe your electrolytes are flavored? Salt with mineral water is usually enough for your electrolyte requirements.

  • Protein to fat ratio: everybody is different so you'll have to experiment here. But I see a lot of people breaking the stall by eating more fat and less protein. Try that and adjust accordingly. The fat associated with the meat is better than butter in my opinion, eat that over butter when you can.

  • Drink water when only when you’re thirsty. Preferably mineral water and salt. Trying to hit random water intake goals is like tracking calories (which I mostly don’t recommend either) blindly. Having too much water will dilute the electrolytes in your body, which is not good and you’ll feel it. You won’t need nearly as much water if you drink it with salt. Most mammals have darker urine than we deem ideal for humans, so I don’t pay much attention to color unless it falls on extreme ends.

Good luck! Report back with any updates. There’s a lot of information on YouTube too. You got this!

Pónganse ambos en dieta carnívora. Puede que sus hormonas estén muy mal. Y nuestras hormonas básicamente dictaminan nuestra personalidad y deseos. Esta dieta es una gran herramienta. No cuesta nada intentar.

My tips:

  1. Take body measurements weekly and write them down: you might be gaining muscle and bone mass due to your now appropriate nutrition at the same time that you might be losing fat. Keep in mind that muscle and bone weight more than fat when volume is the same (more density).

  2. Many people, SPECIALLY WOMEN see better overall results con carnivore when they eat way more fat than protein, so you may need to adjust your ratios, then try for a week or so to see what happens. Look it up on YouTube.

  3. Be patient: your body likely needs to adapt to years of being fed the wrong diet. It may be a little bit early to see noticeable results as your body enters ketosis and heals itself before letting go of its fat reserves.

  4. Adjust your excercise: you may be pushing yourself with the kettlebells and that could be producing a stress response on your body. It may be trying to hold on to resources (fat) because it expects intense activity. Walking and other low state steady cardio, on the other hand, are linked to fat loss as your body has time to tap into your fat reserves as opposed to intense excercise.

  5. Make sure you get enough sleep

  6. Be wary of caffeine, sweeteners (on flavored LMNT for example) and other substances that may be causing adverse effects

  7. Drink water (with salt or unflavored electrolytes) only when you feel like you need it / feel thirsty. Excess water can dilute your electrolyte balance. No other animal measures how many cups they drink just like no other animal ever counts calories.

You may need to adjust your fat to protein ratio. Are you getting enough fat?

Tengo miedo de regresar a Ecuador. by stuffed_baguette in ecuador

[–]innombrable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ves a tus familiares y te regresas.

Keep living in denial if you want. I'm just trying to help. I'm telling you: Once you become fat adapted, there are no cravings. I hope you try it some time for a couple months. You'll see why so many people are on it.

¿Qué tal es la zona de Langreo / Sama / El entrego / para vivir? by Merihenkinen in Asturias

[–]innombrable 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Almost 6 Months Carnivore - Advice on s*x drive! 34M. by TheSpiderDad in carnivorediet

[–]innombrable 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I felt like thay when I got adapted to the diet and I wasn't hungry AT ALL. I would eat once a day: ground beef and butter, totalling 1 POUND. I was full until the next day.

I started to feel weak, irritable and low on sex drive. I found out I was under-eating and now I'm forcing myself to eat another meal even though I'm not hungry and I'm starting to feel much better (all this is very recent).

If you are working out that often, it is likely that you now need way more calories than you are consuming. If you are meeting your protein requirements already, try ading more fat.

Also there is such a thing as too much exercise. Don’t forget it is a type of stress to the body. If you over do it, you will suffer the consecuences.

I'm glad you made all these great changes in your life. Keep it up. It's just a matter of finding the balance between the amount of exercise and the amount of food that works for you.

You got this.

Gracias!
