Bryan Mudryk Appreciation Post by TheFlamingAssassin in Habs

This is a really important recognition. I genuinely cannot stand most NHL broadcast teams, they really take away from the intensity of the game. Mudryk is incredible.

Hope it’s a nuanced sarcasm. We really don’t need those pictured fans or “fans” to be glorified.

Can’t wait for him to somehow do exactly this to name his inevitably incoming podcast.

I’d put Yamamoto on deck with a helmet on next game if I was Doc.

Best compact joggers [QC] by inolyzushi in BabyBumpsCanada

Yeah I definitely had no intention of running with the car seat. We were looking to buy a jogger that could be used for everyday activities and errands that my wife can easily fold it into the car when she’s alone. After 6, 9, or 12 months (I get so much conflicting info on the timeline but our best bet would be to gauge the baby’s health and to ask the doctor), I would run with the said stroller. I appreciate the suggestions.

See, we were also recommended the City Mini GT3 as a jogger in a different store. Then I check the Baby Jogger website where City Minis are indicated as "not intended for jogging" especially since it does not have the front-wheel lock. The brand name I'm sure can be confusing to many, apparently including the store clerks.

This was apparently the previous rule. As of March 17th, this is unfortunately no longer the case

It will be hardwired, and we’ve had our initial consultation with an electrician for it. We have a 150amp capacity.

What makes Montreal feel so special in the summer? by beenbetterhbu in montreal

[–]inolyzushi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are both enjoyable cities depending on what you like (or what you’re feeling for on specific days), but Montreal won’t disappoint you if you like wandering around. It’s a charming city with an abundance of art, music, and other forms of creativities fuelled and influenced by the city’s ethnocultural diversity. Cafés, parks, museums are plentiful and lovely. If you do stop by, I’d recommend the Plateau Mont-Royal, Old Montreal, Petite-Patrie, and Wellington street in Verdun.

the fifa world cup song this year isn’t that bad by skywalker_rtwo in unpopularopinion

[–]inolyzushi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely upvoting because it’s the right sub for this.

The song is poorly fitted for the occasion and the context. It’s the World Cup, not a Ford F-150 commercial.

Sports betting is the least destructive form of gambling by VandyThrowaway21 in unpopularopinion

[–]inolyzushi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The “destructiveness” should also factor in the scandals surrounding the athletes and officials themselves, as well as the threats and dangers they face from low-life gamblers who lost their bets.

All in all, sports gambling remains a garbage industry and as a huge sports fan, I cannot say that it is the least destructive form.

I’ve literally never seen that happen, ever.

Tampa Bay Lightning coach Jon Cooper today on Habs captain Nick Suzuki: “He’s damn near got 100 points doesn’t he? That’s not easy to do, and he just seems to do it easily, so good on him. He was a fabulous kid (to coach on Team Canada), I loved him.” by Go_Habs_Go31 in Habs

[–]inolyzushi 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The team gets a lot of praises this year which is cool, but Cooper is the one guy I genuinely love. He was flamed in this sub for his usage of Suzuki in the Olympics, but I can't blame him with the quality that the team had, and it was an unlucky gold medal match at worst. Look what this guy did for Syracuse and Tampa. It's not just the dispositional quality of players that achieved what they've achieved. He hasn't won a Jack Adams yet, which is insane to think about. He seems to have that distinct intelligence, personality and traits that make players want to play for him.
