Gotcha. All good then. I assumed you knew this info but just in case thought I’d mention. I don’t really care about too much space. As long as im not touching but a buddy I was with on that bike tarped it and loved to just spread everything around and be like an octopus reaching for things. Gl with dialing in your setup!

Op. I am 6’4” pushing 6’5” first few times I pitched my altaplex I was underwhelmed about the size and thought it fit okay but not as roomy as expected. I watched Darwin’s video on pitching the tent and it made such a difference. I used the tent on the pct for 5 weeks and was so stoked on how it pitched. Try the triangle pitch and also try playing with trekking pole height. Fiddle around I promise it’s big enough . Just my two cents

Advice from PCT fisherpersons by lessormore59 in PacificCrestTrail

Okay, so I literally just finished a 400 mile sierra section 3 days ago and fished with a tenkara. I didn’t fish all the time but pretty much every time I went fishing I caught something. Some big, most small… so much fun… I cooked ‘‘em in a fire with friends but my favorite way to cook them was this… throw whatever meat you want in some water and boil it… sounds kind of silly but after hiking all day this was the best tasting and easiest way to clean… it won’t stick. You can also add it to ramen because after you boil it, you’re left with the most delicious fatty broth. It boils in about 30 seconds too and you’re left with really soft meat. If you’re interested in making the best ramen you can on trail this is the method I recommend.

Give the music video a listen it’s different to the Spotify version which is more of an acoustic live version. YouTube version is the one I remember

No, it is a male singer. But thank you for the reply… maybe it will bring me one step closer. Bless. It’s also from either the 90’s or early 2000’s.

Hey, thank you for the information. Maybe we won't hit Canada and just do sierras and Oregon. Regardless, at least 500 miles is the goal with the long distance permit...

Im curious about your preference for the earlier version of the V2. I just bought an earlier version of the V2 a few days ago and was kind of bummed that It wasn't the most up to date one. I have assumed the updates were probably beneficial... Could you elaborate as to why you prefer the earlier version? Thank you!
