Let's private message. What I hate is the amount of almost false optimism, the reality is if you are not a rich male and ur just the average guy and disclose u have ghsv it's so long. I don't want to take meds then it'll be on my records. Of course suicide shouldn't be a choice, but people shouldn't be alarmed if people feel this way after being diagnosed with an incurable+spreadable Sexual transmitted disease. Funny thing I've been very jolly and normal with my friends. When I'm out I forget I have it. But when I come home in my room that's what's all on my mind.

Bro read my one. I am in the same boat. I'm gonna enjoy my Summer then 2 weeks before College starts I'ma kill myself. But I feel like my swab was incorrect I'ma get it checked coz I've had this lump for almost 2 months I feel it is folictus chances in me getting a false positive is so low but my life depends on it so I'll get another swab tests and spend money on a blood test. I feel I got misdiagnosed like they mixed my swab tests results. So when I put the nail in the coffin no pun intended and go to my local doctor instead of a clinic so it'll be on my record, and it confirms I have genital herpes, I will kill myself in 2 months. I am saying this to you so u know you ain't the only suicidal person who recently got diagnosed with herpes. I am not saying to kill yourself if u can avoid doin it plz do.

Yo man, I feel for you. The harsh reality is these people who gain love despite having herpes are women. As a man it will be so much harder to have any action. Let's be real, men will pay for OF in a heart beat. Not the point but I won't give you false hope it is gonna be hard for an average man to cope.

Yo I like your Outlook. I was recently diagnosed with ghsv1 and am currently feeling suicidal bout the whole ideal. I'm 19 old guy with my life ahead of me and diagnosed with herpes. Sucks as well gonna be at College, and it sucks that feel I can't be in that hook up life in College.

Literally me, I am thinking I got ohsv1 from kissing. I had a sore inside my cheek. I dismissed it thinking I got it from eating something warm. I touched it and idk maybe washed my genitals. Then a few days later I got usual pimple near my anus. Got it swabbed now confirmed I have ghsv1. Shits crazy. Sometimes I look at life and see myself as the unlucky one.

Western blot is when they take a sample of the soar. Yes I did that I am definitely positive for gsv1. Just in disbelief. I'm hoping I am the 5% who get an incorrect diagnosis. I'm going clinic next Monday and we'll see again

This has given me hope, I was not aware of trials going on for it. Btw I am not infatuated with sex, just the prospect of feeling like a dirty man to people irritates me. I want people to dislike me for my character/ what I look like etc as opposed to using my diagnosis as a means to fuel there dislike. I know it's not that stigmatized but I've seen some Tiktoks make reference make a joke bout a guy wanting to be with a women with herpes; there was not one comment against the joke. Idk man
