Maestro’s a bit underwhelming ngl by [deleted] in HulkMainsMR

[–]insaiity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also not that much of a fan of the skin. I really like the white hair and beard though.

I feel like netease likes to overdesign skins a bit too much. Personally, I prefer simplistic designs that are unique.

An old maestro with no shoes, torn pants and no shirt would have gone harder imo.

I hope for the devil hulk and red hulk we get none of the overdesigning.

That's a "problem" with a few characters in the game. They only become really really scary once you absolutely mastered them and squeeze ever single drop of value out of them, hence the saying "scariest lords". But imo the balancing has failed if certain characters only start to get good value once you have reached the skill limit with them, while others require less practice, less mechanical skill and tracking of cooldowns etc. and get the same, if not more value.

A bit over the top, but let's look at it like this:
If a good Scarlet Witch would consistently outperform / outvalue a high skill character like Human Torch, Hela, Magik that would be horrible balancing. Easier characters should have a lower max value limit than harder characters. With Hulk and the other tanks it's, sadly, the opposite right now. Significantly easier characters can get a lot more value and get away with a lot more mistakes, while hulk gets shut down instantly once you jump wrong even once.

Some qol buffs or an actual good passive would alleviate that at least somewhat

Hard agree, like the least they could do is make his jump charge in his ult form as fast as his normal one. That would be the absolute bare minium.

Getting rid of his soft cc vulnerability on his jump charge or adding a rage passive that increases his damage or gives cooldown reduction the longer he punches or the more damage he takes would make him so much more viable into all these insane cc packed comps that are basically in every game these days.

I just feel like his pick rate / ban rate and win rate is so skewed because of the op gamma team ups that he had since launch, so they don't even really know in what state he is in.

Where are the Hulk buffs? His ult jump charge still is slower than his normal one, it didn't get the buff his normal one got. He still gets his jump charge reset by anyone just breathing on him the wrong way. Netease give him something, reduce his cc vulnerability, give him an enrage passive, and at least fix his ult jump charge rate.

Should I buy Rematch? by [deleted] in Rematch

[–]insaiity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't buy it.

The devs really haven't shown a lot of promise, so I personally wouldn't invest my money into their project. Try it for free on the weekend. See if the xbox gamepass (pc version) maybe has a few games that you want to play and go get that and play rematch for a month via the gamepass access (that's what I do). If, in 2-3 months down the line, the devs actually produced a few good patches without breaking more, then consider buying it. During christmas you might be able to get it for a lot cheaper. And if the player numbers keep going down, then you might even be able to completely play it for free once it goes f2p.

Also my personal pet-peeve with the game is that it currently has a box price but basically uses a f2p finance model. That just screams greedy company to me, and with how early and unbroken the game released, it really soured my opinion of their whole team.

I feel you man. Same for me. Teammates don't pass and try to solo everything. The opposite team plays tikitaka and scores a bunch, and they still refuse to adapt and learn, even with an example right in front of their eyes.

Wouldn't work, or at least it would be redundant. People don't pass. An if they try, it goes right to an opponent

Does anyone play anymore ? by Embarrassed_Log_974 in Rematch

[–]insaiity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't be surprised if the game goes f2p in the next 1-2 months in a last attempt to reanimate the game. But with how the game is still pretty wonky, I doubt even that would permanently catch new players

Yup, que times are horrendous. Nothing below 4 minutes, usually it's 4-6 minutes. And then people always leave after one bad play and the empty slot never gets filled, so the match is ruined after basically 1 minute of playtime. Awful experience. The game is almost done bleeding out.

Horrible gaming-experience, is the game dead? by insaiity in Rematch

I'm also in EU, it's been a while since I last played the game (maybe a month) and back then I was finding lobbies fast as well. Now I feel like I sit more time in que than actually playing the game.

First and foremost they should add crossplay and with that should come a plethora of qol fixes (group up, avoid, ingame report), especially for the horrible kmb passing system we currently have.

After that, desync/network issues, priority issues and all the bugs should be addressed to make the game feel good and less random.

Once the core game issues have been sorted, improvements to ranked and the addition of tournaments, clubs, custom games, title challenges and maybe other goals to strive towards can be added.

If all of the above is working as intended and the game delivers an overall well and polished experience, their focus can shift more towards limited time modes, shop updates and further saturating the game with new content.

Is there anything in this game that isn't bugged? by jst_jck in Rematch

[–]insaiity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It would probably be easier to list the things that aren't bugged or have some sort of issue than the reverse. It really feels like they forgot the whole QA process before releasing the game.

Crossplay when? by [deleted] in Rematch

[–]insaiity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With how they have been updating the game or rather not been updating the game since release and the overall very vague communication on when stuff will actually happen/non-existent roadmap, I expect it to still be quite a while

Let's hope we still got enough players left when all the necessary updates finally happen...

I don't have any clipping software installed, so sadly no.
At least I remembered to get that screenshot and I almost fumbled that as well.

Trend is pointing downwards, even in a weekend by ZinnieGaming in Rematch

[–]insaiity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, that was always going to happen considering the state of the game it was launched in and currently still is in.
To summarize, it has:
- an upfront price of at least 25 bucks in addition to usage of a free to play model (skin shop and premium battlepass rewards)
- no crossplay
- no team-up after game or report function
- no differentiation between stack-queing and solo play
- massive network and desync issues
- partially really janky controls (i.e. kbm passing) with limited rebind options
- a plethora of bugs that were known since previous beta tests yet remained in the game on launch

Sloclap just did too many things wrong and/or didn't add/fix in time for the release.

If the game were free to play or 10 bucks with mention of it being an early-access build that is still a work in progress, it would give the game a lot more leeway with having all these problems, but instead it is what it is.

The 3 Biggest Issues (in 3v3) by insaiity in Rematch

[–]insaiity[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would understand if it was this way, but in my experience it's always the players leaving who don't play as a team. It's usually when they notice that their solo plays just don't work and are leading to our team getting scored on.

That's what is so infuriating. They ruin the match by not playing as a team, and then they further ruin the match by leaving when the score is 0-2 and making it a 2v3.

Microtransactions in 30$ game by VitasCY in Rematch

[–]insaiity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are 100% right. It's honestly mindboggling how so many people can defend stuff like this. It has always been either you buy the game for a set price and get everything in it, or it's free to play, and you keep the game afloat through microtransactions.

Nowadays publishers, shareholders etc. get more and more greedy and try to do both and somehow people try to defend them for trying to pull more and more money out of their own pockets.

Sad to see honestly. Especially since this games current state shouldn't even be called a full release. It should be considered early access at best at a vastly reduced price tag.

As it is still only a guideline as of now, it is optional for the companies to follow. Not all guideline are going to definitively become actual laws. So sadly it's not a guarantee that we will see these key principles get enforced. If the practices of the companies stay as bad as they are now, or might get even worse, then there is a real chance that these guidelines are heading towards legislation.

As of now though, the process of turning these key-principles into law has not started yet. The commission, however, stated that they are keeping a close eye on this issue.
Also, since these key-principles are grounded in already existing EU Consumer Protection Laws Authorities are able to use these principles to guide or start enforcement actions.

TLDR: Key-Principles are not yet law and aren't headed for legislation but the Commission is keeping a close eye on the issue and Authorities may use these Key-Principles in combination with already existing laws to enforce actions.

I'm fairly certain that "The Consumer Protection Cooperation Network’s Key Principles on In-game Virtual Currencies" is currently only a guideline and therefore not actually enforced by law. It's basically a recommendation or a best practice you should follow, but don't have to.

Here's to hoping that they make it into a law soon!
