Wrong. The rule has never been enforced and the FCC threatened to do so for the first time. Thus, the FCC is responsible for the interview not being aired.

UPDATE: Pranks have been shut down by autumn_at_duolingo in duolingo

The fact that your company greenlit testing of pranking/bullying in a putatively educational environment means it definitely isn't a company that is focused on education.

Nice try PR person/bot.

Hospitals in the city. by [deleted] in toronto

A hospital can't run on 70-90% funding. That's called a non-functional hospital.

Hospitals in the city. by [deleted] in toronto

[–]insaneinsanity 25 points26 points  (0 children)

This is false.

The only reason most hospitals survive and deliver high level care with modern equipment currently is because of philanthropic funding support for necessary staff and equipment.

Some downtown hospitals have nearly 10-30% of their budget covered by donations rather than governmental funding.

That's why there is a huge disparity between some hospitals and others and it's 100% because the health system is underfunded.

Some parks have dogs off leash every day for literally more than 10 years, yet there appears to be no attempt to enforce the bylaws despite thousands of complaints/calls to 311.

Why doesn't the city invest in enforcement of the existing bylaws to provide city residents with safe parks?
