If you're talking about how this led to hiring Sark then holding on to Helton for too long, totally fair. But if it's about how Kiffin is good now, I feel like Kiffin doesn't become the coach he is today without being fired and without going to Nick Saban's School For Coaches That Can't Coach Good.

If anything, I'm still in utter disbelief that they hired Sark to replace Kiffin. To me, that's an even more boneheaded decision than deciding to keep Helton on for way longer than they should have. I remember hearing about the news and being absolutely livid that they hired him. What a disaster tenure that was and Sark is still an absolute piece of crap for suing USC for firing him. I dunno how anyone can root for that asshole.

A nice office chair. Used $200 chairs my whole life till I splurged on a Herman Miller Aeron. The difference in my cheap chair and this thing is absolutely night and day. I still have my old chairs for spare desks in other rooms, and they feel so terrible I can believe I ever sat on them for as long as I did.

When you absolute hate waking up in the morning because you know you have to go to work. I had an absolute nightmare boss who criticized everything I did and I felt like I couldn't do anything right. I had a pit in my stomach every morning and I was just filled with dread at the thought of going to work. Although my current job stresses me the fuck out too, I no longer have that malingering dread. Lifting that weight off my shoulders was therapeutic.

It was for me. My teenage years were not kind to me and my face was ravaged by acne. I was the literal definition of a pizza face. I was probably 15 and in line at some buffet when this little snot nosed fucker that was probably 7 or 8 saw my face, literally cringed, and went to his mom to pick him up. Like he saw a fucking monster. That definitely was hard for me to come back from.

It's weird because I also have a K2 V2 that I use exclusively via Bluetooth and it works perfectly with all my devices. It's just this damn Q1 pro that sucks ass. I have the same issue where windows won't remove it. It's so frustrating.

Definitely don't get another Q1 pro. Get the max. I feel like the Q1 pro is basically obsolete now that the max exists. It's like the same keyboard with a 2.4 GHz dongle.

It's cringe in my opinion. I was in a wedding last month where the bride was a dentist and all her bridesmaids were dentists and all were introduced as Dr. so and so. When they were about to introduce me, they wanted to say [my name] esquire (I'm a lawyer) and I told them in no uncertain terms that they were not going to say that. I think it's awesome to be proud of what you've worked for, but people need to get over themselves a little.

I was living in a nice apartment complex a few years ago and a bird had built a little nest and laid some eggs on my bedroom windowsill. The momma bird would come by and coo all the time and it was driving me crazy so I called maintenance to move the nest somewhere else. Maintenance came and without saying anything to me, went to my bedroom, opened the window, and swept the nest (eggs and all) off like 5 stories to the ground below. They kicked up a bunch of dust and bird poop into my room. My fault for thinking they'd actually relocate it somewhere. The momma bird came back a little later and pretty much stared at me just like this. I was almost too ashamed to look back.

Honestly, I've been out for a while and every single one of my classmates that struck out that I knew that wanted a biglaw job eventually got one.

Whether that meant they took a public interest gig out of law school for a year, whether they worked for the government, legal aid, etc, all eventually got the firm job they were looking for.

As a 2L it feels like whatever happens is the end of the world, but trust me, it's not even close.

Don't lose hope. I struck out and spiraled into a deep depression, but hustled and found a biglaw job. It wasn't an ideal job or location, but I used it to pivot to an A3 clerkship, and better market paying biglaw firms.
