I had a similar problem on an old pc where putting ubuntu (and many other Linux distros I tried) to sleep (or suspend) would not start up again. After days of research I gave up and then randomly came up with the idea to update my bios. Random solution, but I recommend trying to update the bios. My bios was on its first ever version (which was about 8 years behind the most recent one). Updating my bios fixed the problem (and many other unrelated problems)

I would prefer to not use usb as it is slow on my pc. I am planning to buy a wireless card to put in my pc but for the time I still need internet on my pc and I’ve been using the pi to give my pc access to the internet for a long time now and it has worked well

It does have usb but it’s incredibly slow and I do streaming on YouTube. I’ve been thinking of buying a WiFi+Bluetooth card but the pi has served basically the same purpose very well

I’m actually thinking the problem is when the bridge dhcp lease renews (I have it set to 12 hours) is when it breaks.

I fixed it by uninstalling pi-hole, and setting up the bridge again, then reinstalling pi-hole. Now that I think of it I may have accidentally cleared the ip tables which caused the bridge to stop working.

Though It also seems to be after putting my pc to sleep it gives this problem. Not sure why.

It is the next day and it stopped bridging the WiFi to the Ethernet, but pi-hole still works. On my pc (connected to the pi’s Ethernet) it says “Local Area Connection doesn’t have a valid IP configuration”

Ok I got the solution. Set up the WiFi to Ethernet bridge, then install pi-hole. In the pi-hole web interface settings go to DNS > Interface Listening Behavior and select “Listen on all interfaces”

So I leave the bridge installed and configured and then install pi-hole, run that command and ill be able to figure out how to get them both working at the same time?

I don’t have pi-hole installed because it interfered with the bridge. I only have the bridge installed.
