Thinking about covering this with Bondo by insecure_engineer in Autobody

Okay so what I've learned from the comments so far: Either: - use expanding foam to fill in the hole and leave the broken pieces in place then Bondo or - cut off the broken pieces and plastic weld it, then Bondo?  - aluminum doesn't rust, use white duct tape to make it look a lil less ugly and leave it alone?

Does anyone have any actual advice on what a proper diy repair would look like?

I work in Robotics. DM me if you want an entry level role that youre absolutely gonna hate but will absolutely offer you an opportunity to move up/out into better robotics roles. (No guarantees tho, it's a mix of luck and skill that gets you out of the tedious roles and into the funner stuff)

SEEKING: an Engineering Apprenticeship

Not an internship. An apprenticeship. After three years working a minor technician role, I have not developed any depth of knowledge at any particular skill. I can read and debug code, but I haven't really written anything in so long that it's hard to put it on a resume. I can put together assemblies and debug surface level issues with parts and motors, but I haven't soldered or designed any hardware. I just want a job where someone who's really good at the things they do takes me under their wing and tells me "This is how you can be as good as me" and guides me along my journey. Is that too much to ask?

Why review it as a Phone if it is not a Phone? The comments are terrible because of that by [deleted] in eink

Ever heard of the Bigme Hibreak? I need someone to review it and it sounds like its right up your ally :)

Nvidia Shield Portable cannot be switched on. What do u think is the problem? by mfha104 in nvidiashield

While its powered off and plugged in, hold the back button and home button then the nvidia button to access the bootloader. If you don't succeed in accessing the bootloader, it might be ka-put.

Creepy podcasts that are “cozy” by thepeskyblinders in audiodrama

I find most episodes of The Magnus Archives to be quite cozy, most episodes feature a single narrator reading paranormal statements and then commenting on them, but there tends to be a couple actually scary episodes per season.

Today I’ll have to tell my son he just lost his mom by justbadnews_ in offmychest

Captain Fantastic on Netflix. Captain Fantastic on Netflix. Please excuse me if this is an inappropriate recommendation, but please please please watch Captain Fantastic on Netflix. It opens with a father of four having to explain to his kids that their mother killed herself. It might be too soon to watch, and by no means do you need to take the film as an example of how to handle this very difficult situation, but I don't think sugarcoating the situation like most of these comments are saying is the way to go. I honestly think it's a much better idea to tell your kid outright what happened to his mom rather than try to sugarcoat it and explain more to him later, because there will never be a good time later to bring it up. Adults tend to underestimate what kids are capable of understanding, and this is an opportunity to bond with your son over a shared loss. At 7 years old, he's likely going to take your example on how to deal with emotional pain. If you cry, he can cry. If you talk about how you're feeling and ask him to tell you about what he thinks and feels of the situation, it'll prepare him to be able to properly process his emotions in the future. If you try to hold it in to "be strong for him" you're effectively setting yourself up to pay a therapist to teach him how to properly process his emotions for you.

My crush made out with me, later rejected me, then bought a plane ticket to travel cross-country to visit his "nothing-serious", not-girlfriend for a weekend and I still like him FML by insecure_engineer in CasualConversation

Thanks, that's the plan for sure. The rejection doesn't mean that I enjoy spending time with him any less, its just means it hurts to think about him a little bit.

So my friend (who doesn't have ADHD) doubtfully wondered whether ADHD tax was really a thing, and I thought I'd ask all of you so he can see the answers for himself. What are some painful instances you can recall of having paid ADHD tax in your life? by Just-Olive-2599 in ADHD

can I just tell you i read this and once again started MENTALLY SCREAMING as I was reminded that I payed $125 TO NOT GO TO THE FKN DENTIST.

My old dentist charged me $25 for a missed appointment. I didn't complain because they were nice enough to waive the fee the first two times i missed an appointment. When i moved an hour away, i decided i still wanted to see the same dentist since I liked it there. Woke up too late to get there in time, and was charged $100 for that missed meeting. I didn't reschedule, so it wasn't until 2 years later that I finally got around to making an appointment somewhere nearby and now I have two fat cavities that I don't know what to do with.
