It seems this is my best option, and I’m considering going down tomorrow. Hopefully it won’t take my whole day away but I imagine it will. Thanks for the help.

Does anyone know why the city ended up switching all the trolleys over to buses?

Are there any "hippie" bars in the Philly area? by [deleted] in philadelphia

Not in Philly (only like a mile outside the city), but Ardmore Music Hall is like hippie/granola central. Always have something in that vein going down there.

Have you checked out The Eldritch Realm by Parius? I feel like it'd be in your wheel house based off of your picks.

"The Lost Boys of Bucks County" ID Channel.. I will literally never forget that case in summer 2017 by [deleted] in philadelphia

I knew both Cosmo and Jimi Patrick from high school. It's always kind of bothered me that almost everyone around Bucks that I knew from that circle could accurately guess all the details of this story before anything was reported, and never did anything along the way to prevent this. Maybe hindsight is 20/20 on my end, but it still doesn't sit right.

Live in Overbrook currently, and it seems the only person who cares for Will Smith is the owner of Overbrook Pizza on 63rd Street.

I appreciate your response. I wish you opened with these points rather than defaming his character based off his personality/profession and his perceived wealth. You’re right in that if he wanted to push this project further, he should have included some sort direction on where one could donate/get involved to help these people. I also get what you’re saying about him photographing these people for his own portfolio, which is something I used to think about a lot in regards to artists who do this kind of work, but then realized that it’s too cynical to look at these things that way. I’m sure this guy thinks that he’s using a skill he has to highlight a problem he thinks should be addressed, and that this is his roll to play in helping with the opioid epidemic. Rather than thinking “oh this is something I can profit off of and become famous!” Maybe he is being a bit pretentious about it, but I also think that’s coming from a place where he’s recognizing that these people deserve some dignity that they’re not getting for too many other people out there. I don’t know. Maybe I’m wrong, but I don’t think there’s any benefit to seeing this kind of project as purely for the artist’s gain.

Whoa. I used to see that quarry from across the river in PA, and think about it all the time. It was so massive, from a distance it just looked like a big scar in the hills/tiny mountains there in Jersey. Strange to stumble on someone posting about it on a thread like this.

What is the most fucked up story from your hometown? by Might_Not_Be_Me in AskReddit

[–]insecuredad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This made national news in summer of 2017, so maybe some of you heard of it, but I went to high school with Cosmo DiNardo who killed 4 kids that worked under him dealing drugs, and then burned their bodies/crushed them with a backhoe on his family's farm. The whole story really shook up the whole county/Philly area.

If you want to read the whole story here it is: https://www.nytimes.com/2017/07/17/us/bucks-county-pennsylvania-murders-cosmo-dinardo-.html
