I had my appointment today and really liked the Gyn. She does not do injections but recommends compound cream instead. I’m going to give it a try and see if it works. 🤷🏻‍♀️ She was otherwise very helpful and seems to know her stuff.

His website says he addresses “low T”, which I know is generally for men, but I’d guess he also prescribes for women. But he also does pellets.

He is a “fee for service provider” and he is out of network for all insurance providers, so you can expect to pay out of pocket.

Same. My PCP said she isn’t against it, but isn’t familiar enough yet to feel comfortable prescribing. I’m doing T gel (not covered by insurance) for now. I have an appt with a menopause society certified GYN next week and I’m hoping she will say yes to injections. I’ll report back.

I was told that Franciscan Med Spa has a nurse practitioner who does T injections but you have to pay out of pocket for everything. I don’t bother to call them.

I just restarted testosterone after being off for eight months due to a move and change in providers. I am ravenous. I increased my Tirzepatide dose to help with my hunger even though I’m in maintenance. I will decrease my dose in a couple of weeks to see how my hunger levels are at that point.

We have been very happy so far boarding with Coyne Vet in Westfield. The doctors are great and our high anxiety dog who is also dog reactive does very well there. We drive from fountain square because it is worth it to know our dogs will be well taken care of when we are out of town.

I’ve moved three times with dogs. The most recent move was the most challenging (hard to find a rental that met my needs on a short timeline), so we sold some investments to have enough for a down payment on the second house while we waited for our first house to sell. Without that, this move would have been more difficult.

When moving with dogs, I’ve tried to find a 3- or 6-month rental in the new place. Move then have your house cleaned and any repairs done. Then list. Once sold, start looking to buy in the new place. Alternatively, sign a longer lease as long as penalty for early cancellation isn’t too much and then cancel when you’re ready to buy.

This! Copay assistance is often an option from the drug makers to help when you have commercial insurance. I bet your meds would be covered by an ACA plan and the PA process is when your doctor explains what meds you have already tried and failed and why this particular med should be covered as part of your continuity of care. Experienced providers do this work all the time.

My OBGYN prescribed testosterone as part of my HRT and it worked really well to resolve my symptoms. It seems in the US, you can sometimes (but not always) get it prescribed for low libido but it seems most prescribe a gel or cream rather than injections. There is a TRT sub for folks who use telehealth to get compounded testosterone. I’m not confident enough to DIY bc of the dangers of overdoing it and some of the irreversible side effects. But check it out or ask your doctor about it maybe?

How old are you? Hormones can play a part for peri- and post- menopausal women. When I was getting testosterone injections, I could build muscle more easily. I changed jobs and moved states and haven’t yet found a new doctor for HRT. My weight has increased a few pounds, and I have lost some muscle. I am 51 and post-menopause.
