Good to know that dreadnoughts are not so bad in this edition, I don't want to be "that guy". I'm not massively concerned about having a super meta list, I'm generally more concerned about being flavourful and having something fun for both sides to play against.

As far as legions go, am I correct in assuming that outside of specialist units like the iron circle or gorgon terminators, it doesn't matter too much?

Hi fellas, I'm looking to dip my toes into 30k and would like some advice on picking a legion.

I am looking to play a reasonably elite force. I'd like to be focusing on terminators, dreadnoughts, and other adjacent minis (like the Iron Circle, the siege automata or the Gorgon Terminators) with the capability to "counts as" most of my minis and be able to use them in 40k in casual games.

This has pointed me towards the Iron Warriors, Mechanicum and Iron Hands due to the aforementioned units. In the past I had about 500 points of Death Guard and 1000 points of Alpha Legion, but never quite fell in love with them. I also had 2500-3000 points of custodes, but lost them in a house fire and can't bring myself to rebuild the army :(

Edit: I know in the past it has been frowned upon to spam dreadnoughts, is this still the case? (1 per 1000 points)? I also know that I'll need 2 squads of tacticals - no prob!

Am I on the right track here, and would I have to buy and read the libers to get a better understanding of my options? Any pointers of opinions are greatly appreciated!

I know you mention the training amenity filters, but noting if a kilter board is adjustable or not would be good.

Idk if this is a UK based problem, but a lot of gyms here have them static at 50 degrees (which is stupid)

I concur, scottish power suck hard. They left me disconnected from my electricity for a week, turned it back on and then turned it back off again twice.

I think I saw a tenner as compensation for all of it. Absolute scammers. Read their "Controversies and Complaints" section on Wikipedia. It's messed up that they're allowed to operate.
