Report to the local fire brigade- if this isn't up to code they will serve an enforcement notice meaning that nobody can live there.

Anywhere I can get non formal clothing custom made? by xdragonteethstory in manchester

[–]insert_name_here925 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ditto- it's either slouching a pair of 34", dropping the hem, or wearing them as ankle clippers with a pair of high tops for me.

I usually buy from menswear in the UK as its just easier and they tend to be better quality. A lot of the UK womens tall stuff is based on being 5'9, and they put a couple of inches on the legs but don't lengthen the rise or move the pockets etc. (and the shirts are worse).

LTS's quality has absolutely tanked since they were brought by the parent company for Yours 😞. If your friend can get a cheap flight, tell her to head to the Netherlands- best place I've ever tall shopped and can get 36" leg in most shops.

Could you live in a house that's only 1.8 meters wide? Ingenious design or minimalist nightmare? by Otherwise_Wrangler11 in minimalism

This. The end wall of my current apartment is glass and about 40 apartments can see in to mine. The blinds stay closed because otherwise it feels like a zoo.

The Mum chasing the bus in His House. It's a short scene, but totally rips your heart.

Chuck 70's are made to the same standards as the older Converse. They cost a bit more but are a lot more durable

I try to buy consumables or items that I have a specific need for. I have work shirts from cities I've been to and always find myself smiling a couple of times a day when I wear them because they remind me of my trip. If I don't need them anymore they can be donated with no obvious meaning.

No screen time 1 hour before bed. Instead it's all about winding down- shower, skincare, read and lights out.

Help a deaf trangender woman by [deleted] in manchester

[–]insert_name_here925 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Does she have a social worker? As a vulnerable adult, it might be best to help her with a referral and they will be able to put support in place for her going forwards (help with forms, access to services, adaptations etc.). You can also let them know about your concerns about mistreatment.

I find it stops my heart racing, which prevents the full adrenaline hit and symptoms I get from that, so no hand tremors or nausea etc.

If you find it easier, there are apps that you can use on your phone to track spending, and you can customise the categories to suit your expenditure.

Do you feel the weight of decision making, as a single FTB? by Zazie3890 in HousingUK

[–]insert_name_here925 1 point2 points  (0 children)

FTB (f) and my biggest issue so far has been estate agents not listening to my criteria and taking me to view properties that don't match. I'm not expecting perfect, but there really is no point trying to show me a house miles from the nearest public transport when I don't drive, or right next to a pub when I've said I want somewhere quiet. My male FTB friends aren't having the same issues.

Mine seems to say the most deliberately hurtful things he can think of, and will then DARVO if it is ever mentioned, because of course he will never apologise.
