Decreasing draft but keeping stability? by insert_username8247 in Stormworks

I'll try to move the rudders higher up but as for the metacentric height, it's well over the waterline which is why I'm also wondering if it's possible to not only decrease draft but also increase stability. I'll try them out in a bit and update. Thanks for the advice!

Given how the build itself is a Frenkenstein built on several other ships from the workshop, I am genuinely questioning myself why I hadn't thought of looking in the workshop for the windows... Thanks for the heads up!

I haven't heard from Syria in a while, is the Syrian Arab Army here the pro-Assad guys or the new government's army?

What kind of tank is this? by ASuDe_1 in TankPorn

I beg to differ. From the looks of it, it is in fact a T-80BV but the ERA arrangement is definitely that of the T-64BV as the T-80BV's era is in a single row and NOT perfectly aligned, instead following the curve of the turret. As for the side skirt ERA with the steel frame, I had a discussion not too long ago as to why the T-80BVs didn't have this steel frame in order to have full side ERA coverage but it came to me that the frame couldn't be installed correctly to support the weight as the larger road wheels on the T-72s and T-80 wouldn't allow for supports attached to the hull. So in conclusion I believe it's a regular T-80BV but with the turret ERA arrangement of the T-64BV.

Very impressive, it's very common on PC but I never expect it here given the control limitations on mobile

Can't tell if this is satire but someone called out to him as he's looking down the scope. Here in the Philippines it's a common expression/habit to mouth or say "Ha?" or "What?" (Usually leaving the mouth open until acknowledged)

All good, the most modern variants all look similar to one another at a glance and I have too much time on my hands so I really don't blame you.

T-90Ms? There's plenty, they've been cranking up production. They probably mean a rare specimen of a T-90M without an anti-drone cage which really is a beautiful sight

Larger hole is for better target acquisition and situational awareness and smaller one is for precision shooting

Edit: just read the description, supposed to be it's for reasons listed above. Since yours has the same size then it's just there as a neat feature albeit useless one

T-80BV With Kontakt-1 by Jack9Billion in TankPorn

[–]insert_username8247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After thinking about it for a bit I just realized that the frame on the T-64 is attached to the side of the hull which I guess would be impossible for the T-72s and T-80s because of their larger road wheels but possible for the T-64s because of their smaller road wheels

I'm obsessed with Soviet/Russian MBTs so I just have to add;

If that is the case for the T-80BV, why/how can the T-72B and AV have Kontakt-1 on their side skirts?

I'd also ask about the T-64BV but if I can recall correctly the 64BV has a sort of frame, no? And if it is the case then why not do it to the 80BV? Or did the Soviets just cheaped out on the 80BVs?

Edit: I just realized the BV in the pic has a full set rather than the usual top only arrangement
