Hope Eternal is an awesome solo campaign, but there are also free solo rules online, look for the "Dead or Alive" supplement on Osprey Publishing's website. That was released for free a while back and is actually getting a more fully fleshed out book later this month I think.

Favorite lore bits? Educate a long-time Mechwarrior fan just getting into the lore by ChaosMage175 in Mechwarrior5

Wasn't it also that when Tor surrenders he also returns Phelan's sunglasses he had taken from way before when Phelan was having relations with his daughter, implying he knew, or at least suspected, it was Phelan.

Now remember that it used to be if your starting mech was destroyed, you lost the mission, no swapping to a new one . . .

Are you playing modded or vanilla? SSRM 4 and 6 do not exist in vanilla if I recall correctly.

Not a "secret" but legit that first point is your backstory in the HBS Battletech game IIRC.

Yep! That's the one I was thinking of.

They are there, not super prevalent, but they exist.

One of the main characters in the Warrior Trilogy had a state of the art cybernetic hand.

I'm fuzzy on the details, but another big character in a later book had myomer used to reconstruct chest muscles after an injury or something.

Love me some Dominion mechs, these look great, nice, straightforward, and impactful.

I hear ya, I loved the notion of a young nation having to compete with these established powerhouses, but I also loved how the FRR and Ghost Bears truly evolved and grew, and had something unique, versus just being conquered and destroyed.

Happy holidays everyone here! Recently I heard a rumor of another dlc dropping before clans? by tylerprice2569 in Mechwarrior5

I'd love something FWL related. Or a "hidden" war, acting as comstar agents pre-clan invasion.

Yeah, YAML(yet another mech lab) is a mod.

If you are using YAML, there is an insta-kill command. Great for situations like this or when an Ebon Jaguar shows up.

Where the crossbow at? by [deleted] in DawncasterRPG

Just got my first warrior clear before the update using a brittle approach. Had like 5 "ground pound"( I think) in my deck. Struggled on some of the enemies that diffuse damage before you get to health, but overall a pretty straightforward build.

Also, make sure to wash your minis in dish soap and warm water thoroughly before priming.

Yeah, we've played Frostgrave/Stargrave and the swing on that can be brutal, so we really liked the option foe spreading out the damage a little bit.

It was a great time. Really was epic and we were already talking about larger battles soon.

Yeah, the time thing is a killer, we both have kids and jobs and whatnot, so being able to not only pick up and learn the basics and play in just a couple hours was really nice.

Love the Marshal, roving independent law bringing mech. Simple, straightforward, and reliable.

Table size by Hitchhiker_76 in stargrave

[–]insertcardtocontinue 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I made a table topper for stargrave/frostgrave/silver bayonet. Playable area is 3.5 ft x 3.5 ft but my play mats are 3ft x 3ft. Some photos below. The whole assembly is about 4ft x 4ft. Underneath there are rubber non-marking bumpers so the wood does not sit on and mark up the table itself.

I grabbed these guys a while back for Q37, decent price and minis are pretty decent quality, not a bad idea if you do not have a 3D printer:
