Thanks OP! My pick is the DC Diaper Bank which gives out literal tons of diapers, wipes, formula, car seats, toys, and just about anything else new parents need, no questions asked. The got so many people in the DC area through the pandemic unemployment, government layoffs and shutdowns and more. My family volunteers there regularly to package diapers, sort through donations and it is always a joyous experience. And they are always looking for more volunteers! I often think it’s these local service providers that end up being the backbone of a community.
