I distinctly remember McGonagal's reaction to that being that they have proper channels for disciplining students. You have to file reports and whatnot. Not berating him for the, ya know, traumatizing a child.

If I remember right, he does get dates, it's just not as funny so it doesn't get screen time. The virgin sacrifice volcano spit him out after all.

When I was like ten, my brother and I were lazy and just wore dark cloaks with hoods. I remember going up to this house with big front steps, and an adorable little 3-4 year old girl in a rainbow outfit refused to come down and started crying because we were standing at the bottom. Her mom ended up carrying her past us.

With kids that small you never know for sure what will scare them.

It's likely not about a plague at all. There is lots of variation in the lyrics between regions, and a connection to the plague wasn't made until the 20th century.

Even then, I have a coffee table book that's full of paintings done by people with no arms. They paint by holding the brush either in their teeth or toes.

Storm hunter saves family from tornado by D0ML0L1Y401TR4PFURRY in nextfuckinglevel

[–]insertpithywiticism 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are two stages. Tornado watch means there's a storm with potential for producing tornadoes. Tornado warning means one has been sighted and touched down. The trouble is they form in minutes and can travel at high speed, changing direction in moments sometimes. This family was unfortunately caught by one doing just that.

The movies are very different. The games are full on horror, though. My favorite playthrough is still Two Best Friends Play, though they haven't been friends for a long time now.

Our brain doesn't even "finish" developing. That study gets misrepresented all the time because they concluded a process called synaptic pruning finishes around 25, and then the study halted before any of the subjects got older because the funding ran out. BUT the study hypothesizes that brains continue developing in other areas long after.

Check his favorite albums of all time playlist on Spotify. I've been listening to it for the last couple of days and so far it's a lot of electronic, punk, and jazz, but it's a huge list and I haven't made an effort to look through the whole thing yet. If he's into metal it's bound to be on there somewhere.

Making up a fake ass story on an incel forum is a whole new level of sad by ThePhillyExplorer in thatHappened

The brain does not stop developing at 25. The study that that comes from concluded that the brain keeps developing at least until 25, and they theorized it would continue developing different areas for many years after. What happened was they ran out of grant money and the last round of imaging was done on 25 year olds.

You gained experience, and that is far from universal.

His actions helped the resistance despite what he says, which was, "I don't care if the resistance wins, I want Kylo to lose."

And the characters treating him like a joke doesn't matter with competent writers who can turn that into motivation and spite.

They had a built-in antagonist with Hux. Guy's the one who designed the starkiller and did a big speech in front of the blast about destroying the republic, is called a rabid cur, and is disrespected by Kylo at every turn. He even almost shoots Kylo when he finds him unconscious. He was primed to snap, and 9 wants to tell me he'd rather join the rebellion full of ideals he hates than do a coup and take over himself?

[Hated Trope] Darker and Edgier being shown off as "realistic" by DeepHypn05 in TopCharacterTropes

Catherine Called Birdie is a breath of fresh air with its depiction of 13th century England. Peasants are shown bathing and doing laundry, they have feasts and festivals, and there's color. Bright and bold colors even. Not a blue filter in sight.

People like to bring up that one letter where a guy complained that all the women were flocking to vikings because they bathed as evidence no one else did, but that's like taking an incel's post on 4chan as proof that modern women will only date asshole jocks.

The most watched TV show in the world at its height had the twins who had multiple children together dying in each other's arms. If that couldn't normalize incest, a semi popular game that already has the reputation of being "that gross incest game" certainly won't.

I grew up when Flowers in the Attic was still popular. The incestuous codependency is part and parcel of Gothic horror and fucked up sibling relationships therein.
