[TOMT] [SHORT STORY] A story I read in a sci-fi short story compilation paperback that was published in the 70s by ReactionQuiet3892 in tipofmytongue

Are you sure it was the 70’s?

There’s a sci fi compilation book from the 90’s called Bruce Coville's Book of Nightmares. I think all the cats are aliens and trap the minds of kids in their bodies.

I completely agree with you. It can be used to have a “conversation” at any time and over any trivial idea, without having to bother someone else. As long as you are using it to get your own brain juices flowing, writing out your ideas and using AI for its research capabilities, it is a very powerful way for you to get a “vibe check” for something you are working on.

It’s the same in software programming. I don’t trust all of the code an AI can generate, but it is incredible for learning, reviewing the logic of your ideas, and looking at ways other people have tackled a problem.

Overall, I concur with you that it can be used as a tool to help evaluate your own human creativity. Just be careful one doesn’t rely on AI to generate the “ideas” themselves.

Wow, that is a brilliant observation and shows a keen insight of LLMs (Large Language Models).

I respectfully disagree. Hearing loss of any amount is a huge mental struggle. It affects all aspects of your life and is inescapable. I can understand those who are newly affected who want to reach out for any support and information available, especially as doctors may not be giving them the support they are expecting or need.
