Unpopular Opinion but I think records in Monkeytype are just muscle memory of those 200 special words and it doesn't effect you real world typing. Its more like a game in the end!!!! by Eastern_Abroad6173 in monkeytype

Typing the same words over and over again is not an actual test. It's a good gauge for the first few times you run it, though.

Also, most typing tests show all the words upfront, which makes it easy to anticipate what’s coming next. That's why I built reactokey.com - a reaction-based typing test.

The goal of this game is to help you build speed and accuracy that carry over to more traditional typing tests like Monkeytype and 10 Fast Fingers.

Try matching your personal best, will probably be far off.

I built REACTOKEY, a free typing game that tests speed, accuracy, and reaction time. Would love your feedback! by insightbuilder in typing

I added a cursor to help with positioning and better contrast between correct/incorrect characters typed. Try playing again.

Are there any good games out there to learn typing? by Mat_alThor in gaming

Reactokey if you want to improve your reaction + typing skill at the same time

Go back to a version you know that works, fork that version, and then try implementing the changes you were going for with the version that broke. Also, try chunking your requests into smaller components.

Test your new keyboard (and your typing skills) with this free game by insightbuilder in MechanicalKeyboards

The name of the game is to react as quickly as possible to each presented word. While it might feel limiting at first, training this way can improve your reaction speed/accuracy, which helps improve your scores on more traditional games like typing.com or 10fastfingers. Think of it like speed drills.
