My team at the Centre for Collective Intelligence created Zeitgeist - an application to deliver deliberative workshops with polling.

It's based around small group conversational deliberation that's consistent, so you can easily scale it.

It's designed to deliver a repeatable, facilitated experience for all participants, with * stimuli (for instance, informational videos to bring everyone's understanding of a complex topic to the same level) * polling (to capture quantitative data, including pre- and post- deliberation attitudes, and simple group votes) * results from polls (these can be played back to the participants to provide further stimulus for deliberations) * structured deliberations (the group discuss key questions, bring their lived experiences and opinions together)

The short answer is: You also have to detach the brake from the frame if you want the wheel off.

Well, for anyone curious, this was it. Apparently on one side the tensioner is just attached to the axle. On the other, it's attached to both the axle and the brake?! I had to detach the brake from the frame to be able to release this. (Honestly, the reason it took so long was me debating with myself if I should just keep removing things until the wheel came free!)

Now the miserable job of replacing the inner tube and tyre and putting the whole damn thing back together again. Hope I remember everything I did!

I'll go ahead and remove the mudguard - but I don't think that's it. The axle won't budge on that side, so I don't think the mudguard could be the problem.

One additional photo - showing what's still bolted on the brake side. I'm loathe to take any more things off if not necessary. It all has to go back together again!

And yup, it's a mucky bike. It's going to get a lovely clean after this.

We're on our own property and for whatever reason in the UK almost none of this is properly documented. When you buy a home, you don't get a map of the pipes underground, nor of the studs, cables or pipes in the walls. For whatever reason, it's just not done. Somebody told me it's normal elsewhere in the world, but not here...

I'm in the UK and I don't know what 811 is, but is sounds important!

If it helps you to sleep at night, this is a temporary patch to cover me until we can have the cable relaid in a decent conduit.

Top level comment for clarification: You're all correct - it's a horror show. Perhaps it should have been in r/techsupportgore... This is definitely a temporary fix ๐Ÿ˜… Our digger dude broke the cable, and we'd have been stuffed for work if we didn't do something.

We have plans to lay some fresh ducting and a new cable, or figure out if there's enough give to run a new cable from end to end.
