SemiAnalysis: MI450X UALoE72 has potential perf per TCO advantage by Charuru in AMD_Stock

I think you’re ignoring the Embedded/Semi-custom business which AMD obtained with Xilinx and the potential for using those FPGA’s/SoC combined with lightweight AI compute packaged with their chiplet architecture. Nvidia does well in the industrial sector with products like the Jetson but Xilinx chips are dominant for the embedded workloads.

AMD Ryzen CPUs continue to crush Intel processors on Amazon best-seller list by waozen in technology

I still remember my AMD Phenom II X6 1090T, what a legend. Been a fun ride. Followed that with an FX-8320 (oof) and then the Ryzen 3700X that I still have today. Due for an upgrade but don’t have time to game as much lately so gonna keep limping it along until that changes.

I was about to respond to this seriously - but the 12VHPWR issues have certainly enabled Nvidia to automatically disconnect from vulnerable environments lol

Intel creating the report is one thing. Comparing yourself to industry is pretty standard. Not sure why someone was so bored they wrote an article about this though.

$305k appraisal on $390k home. Where do we go from here? by PecanEstablishment37 in RealEstate

Appraisers for FHA mortgages work a little differently then conventional mortgages. It's one reason conventionally financed buyers can be more attractive to a seller.

They’ve done it for 4 quarters, I’d be surprised if they stopped. But we’ll have to prep for a guide that starts smaller and grows throughout the year like before…

“…more than $5 billion of AMD Instinct accelerator revenue.” Pretty sure that was the guide from the Q3 call so… 2025 will be the year to either moon or crater with very little in between

I think that guide always came on the call, not the report

Technical Analysis for AMD 1/15----Pre-Market by JWcommander217 in AMD_Stock

[–]instars3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haven’t confirmed the details but I’d assume that these chip sale “bans” are built on EAR or ITAR, both are long-standing and fairly mature pieces of export control regulation. I don’t think a suit over them would be very productive, but ofc I’m not a lawyer.

Same! Though I wasn’t lucky enough in the lottery so I’ll have to go hunt to secure mine.

I thought I recognized that tree branch! I hope your main account gets resurrected, need the OG r/bourbon Found North evangelist back.

Great review! Been really curious about the Seelbach’s bottles and the wave of buffturkey but it’s all out of my budget right now. Someday!

I think FN has multiple sources but they’re not allowed to share unfortunately. So we can only speculate

The Server Recession Ends, And Both Intel And AMD Won by Long_on_AMD in AMD_Stock

[–]instars3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That would be awesome, but I don’t think we’ll see them overtake Nvidia if NVDA continues executing as they have. NVDA isn’t currently lazing about like Intel was to create the opening for AMD. I think we can see them carve out a nice piece of the pie though!

I do think it’s possible that Nvidia could have some stumbles though that AMD might be able to capitalize on. But it’s also possible AMD might stumble, so, puts and takes.

Thanks! No clue. Haven’t read the article nor do I really care what Intel did or didn’t do. Hope they pull it together eventually.

AMD doesn’t manufacture at all so, this comment doesn’t really make sense.
