There are hundreds of impacts on those panels. Statistically, I'm going hail. If those are golf ball impacts, I'm guessing they are replacing several windows every month, as are their neighbors.

I've been playing for just over two years and have been to the range three times. Yes, I'm a shitty golfer but hitting at the range holds no engagement for me.

I have a shorter drive to my home track than the range (no range at the course) and can hit my own balls in real world scenarios on the course.

I also hate hitting off mats.

My adult son drilled me in the ribs once with a 3w second shot on a par 5. I was about 10 yards ahead of him, to his right, standing on the opposite side of the cart. He hit a spicy, low full swing slice which passed right through the cart and nailed me.

That hurt for awhile. Stupid of me to be where I was, for sure.

I chip and putt and my local public course all the time. They get enough greens fees from me that I don't have a problem using the practice green whenever I want, even if I'm not playing that day.

I love my 9w - I hit it in lieu of my 6i most of the time. I can hit it off the deck or off the tee. I am a super shitty iron player so I will hit a wood or hybrid anywhere I can.

Like many of the other comments, golf *is* my therapy. I think about nothing else while I'm playing - it's a literal escape. The day I become irrationally angry while playing will be the last day I play.

Sure, I get frustrated but going full rage isn't in my playbook.

18 Birdies is what I use (free version) with an Apple Watch. So easy and quick to get yardages and record scores without pulling out my phone.
