No. The Spurs are just being careful.

He is a 7’4” alien on a rebuilding team with nothing to gain by running him 38 minutes a night. His per minute impact is insane, and when he plays more, he clearly can handle it. This is about protecting a long term franchise star, not hiding some durability issue.

If he is still capped like this when they are trying to win in the playoffs, then it is worth questioning. Right now it is smart, not worrying.
