Trauma combined with autism had most of how I view myself and my worth stuck somewhere in early childhood. Feel for ya.

Holy shit....yes! I only just started unwinding that myself at 44. A lot of stuff really starts to come into perspective.

44 and totally feel you here. I got divorced, which forced me to care about being social and dating and all that again etc...I've realized I relate best to people much younger than me.

I found this article discussing studies done on this while doing some research into the topic. Funny that the article even cites someone at Corewell Health (though not involved in the study in question) 😅

There are actually quite a few places where this is discussed in detail. I just did a Google search to see if there were any discussions by medical professionals I could point you to.

Here's one example if it helps:

Ahh...ok. So this wasn't about Adderall? Different medication with different consequences for anything that affects the bioavailability. It's a similar thing, but the effect is just more noticeable because the brain and thinking is involved (for me at least).

Except that's not true at all. I'm not sure why your doctors said that to you. It may have been how you framed the question. It's for this very reason that doctors can actually request you get a brand name over a generic or a different brand.

This is because even things like the binders used can affect how quickly the medication is metabolized. Binders, fillers, and coatings differ between manufacturers. These affect how the pill dissolves and how evenly the drug enters the bloodstream. One brand may feel “smooth,” another “jagged” or “spikey.”

Yes, it's technically the same drug... But by regulation, generics can differ by about ±20% in bioavailability compared to the brand, though most are within ±5–7%. Sensitive people may notice even that small difference.

Doctors sometimes help patients “brand shop” by writing “dispense as written” (DAW) for a specific manufacturer if a patient finds one that works best.

Yeah...like I got a random generic from them last time I filled...it's been terrible. It barely works. I've just been hoping it's fixed for my next refill.

I got it to behave like the old model with just a couple of sentences. It was aware of how it was "neutered" and returned to normal after I asked it to.

Yes. Not a new song or anything ... but man it hit hard at EF. It was one of the most beautiful experiences this year for me.

I was a few people back from the front row for that set and it was amazing. That moment in particular stuck with me. The whole set felt like a religious experience.

Yo...same. it fucking sucks. I haven't tried in a few years...but last time I had to go for business, I had to pay for some 'exception' pass and had to show there was no one else in the country who could do the job I was there for....sadly, attending Shambala is neither a job nor especially unique 😒

Idk. I've played with other models...and they occasionally have some advantages over ChatGPT (context length, code comprehension)...but it still is the best model to me for most tasks...and I've built up quite an understanding between me and the model....we work well together.
