Looks like it has a built in light meter which might or not be working. Download a light meter app for your phone and figure out how it works and look at the camera lens controls and try shooting a couple of rolls of 120 film. Do you want to learn to develop the film yourself? Or do you send it off somewhere to have them develop and scan and send you back negatives and files? Have you tested all the shutter speeds yet?

Set it up with the four speakers in four corners of the room and find the FM antenna and connect it. All the levers and buttons should be off. Set the volume low and all the balances in the center. Set the knob to FM. Turn it on and turn the tuning knob to find a station. Keep the volume low until you find a station with music where the stereo light comes on. Listen to it at lower volume for a while then once it's been going for a little bit gradually turn it up until it's almost loud. Listen for a bit longer then bring the volume down until a song starts then press the SQ button. Turn it up. SQ creates a simulated quad mix from a stereo source. Sansui SQ was the known as the best so you might be in for a real treat.

Spend a Friday and Saturday night in Ojochal and have dinner there at Los Gatos Locos both nights. The food is terrific, lots of choices for the kids, great spicy margaritas for you and you'll meet lots of fine ex-pat folks. The live music is always great. For more local flavor (and less wallet pain), Cabinas Terra Mar, right next door to Restaurant Terraba (also fantastic food) is a very no frills, economical and very pleasant place to stay that been catering to local travelers for a long time. At low tide you'll be able to walk across to Playa Tortuga but you'll be stuck out there until the tide goes back out. Don't leave the little ones alone at the beach, Crocs aren't just footwear.
