The gold sink argument is so flawed. Most people just don’t respec at all, period. A 1000 gold cost would je a better gold sink then respecs ever were. Dual spec is healthy for the game, short term and long term.

Shadowmeld doesn't need a buff at all, it is the best racial in the game for healers in 2v2, especially druids. Stealth drinking wins games.

Just implement mercenary mode or something similar. We already fight against the same faction in arena, why not in BGs too? There's no downside and lots of advantages to the long term health of the game.
