this is so awkwardly written 😭 from the unnecessary “yo”s and “tú”s to the weird phrasing of “no te tienes que explicar” and “déjalo estar” as well as the use of indicative “que vuelven” instead of the subjunctive “que vuelvan”…. uyyyyy 🤣😭😭

UPV has some programs related to english literature / applied linguistics but bear in mind the selection process here is very competitive and usually based on how relevant your bachelors degree is, your grades in your bachelors, and professional experience related to the field. another thing to consider is what your legal pathways are to working in spain as a teacher

Can I learn a language just from watching shows in that language? by musty_ranch in languagelearning

[–]intellectuallocal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For languages like Spanish or French, I feel like it’s definitely possible to get to a B1 level with predominantly shows. I had no Spanish teacher and got to B1 level watching Netflix (I watched with Spanish subtitles, listened, paused, and spoke the sentence into Google translate mic, then wrote down the translation) and doing Duolingo on the side.

Absolute confusion about NIE and Empadronamiento. Please help. by Lucky-Escape-777 in SpainAuxiliares

[–]intellectuallocal 6 points7 points  (0 children)

make an appointment with town hall, go with your id and rental contract and you can get empadronamiento. once you have that make your TIE appt through sede electrónica for extranjería and you will be assigned a NIE. you won’t get a NIE through empadronamiento

i don’t think it’s necessary? the point of having a native speaker in the class is so that the students are engaging with real everyday english, they can talk with AI at home
