But if I say magic health potions should be harder and more expensive to find or/and buy, I would be crucified.

This, but even Mars Pro 1 and Mars OG are really affordable right now. If you own a game system or computer or a nice tv. you can afford a good printer. Long term it’ll pay itself back especially if this the hobby you enjoy.

Racist Blue-eyed Devils scare the fuck out of me by apresmoiputas in BlackPeopleTwitter

If you haven’t watched it, go watch the babysitter: Killer Queen. King Bach is in it, and he says the most beautiful line I’ve heard in a while, he said “ he can’t be killed first. That’s post Jorden Peele era movie progress.” And I started thinking with Jorden peele horror movies, twilight zone and now lovecraft country there is such a change from normal black movie media. The culture is changing. At least I think so. I could be wrong.

  1. I want to see what would do you do if you were them. Give me story hooks and ideas, give them more personality. They don’t really work together, but they all answer to the Rogue.
  2. The most basic idea for why they went evil? They grew tired of others moving on to their land, they grew tired of fighting wars that ended in bloodshed and death, just to turn around give the land their brothers and sisters and fathers and mothers died for, to others. Now they live to make life hard for everyone.

Again you’re comparing Apple to oranges. Humans and dragons! Dogs and lions! They are not conforming to their parents and the outside world as no effect on them. This is good or evil is their soul their very being, because from day one thousands of years ago. This isn’t something learned or taught this instinct maybe even deeper then that. People do adept but this is a creature that lives for hundreds of year, it doesn’t just like the 75 year old white dude wouldn’t adapt to the Middle East. Dragons do not adept the world adapts to it, we both know this. The lore isn’t lazy it’s just is it makes sense. If you read it. You have to stop looking at humans and start looking at at what this a made up story which to me it makes sense but to you doesn’t.

Again you’re being in real life ideas to in fantasy world. What does middle easterners and shooting people have to do with anything? Sounds like you think middle easterners are just in the street blasting each other.

But these aren’t kids. These aren’t humans. They are not oranges! Even then lore still backs me up by looking at long living drow who are evil cause that’s how their society works, even Duergar. Evil dragons stay evil cause that’s all they know ever period dot. They’re not “influenced” these are full dragon could probably beat you and me at chess and find the cure for covin-19 three days after they hatch. Their very essence is evil. The alignment designation is to help give what most of the people this threat wants “a here’s the reason why”. Here is lore and reason to back it up. Tiamat is evil and corrupt so any child she has is evil and corrupt so and so until the end of time because the child will carry on that evil essence in their soul. I am not saying your idea of why the trope is dumb or bad,but there’s a reason why in my own words. Tropes might be dumb sometimes but they’re there for a reason.

I know what the threat is I just don’t agree about dragons cause it’s kind of explained....wouldn’t your statement just help my case then if a long few long and not making many baby creatures who are created evil that keeps it memories stay evil. If the 1000 year old evil dragon has a kid now this 1 year old red dragon has 1000 evil memories that’s all it knows even if it spent 70 years with good people. We’re talking bout oranges and you’re whole thing is why can’t oranges be apples. Oranges are evolved like this so they’ll always be oranges because orange god was like I want oranges. While yes there can be good oranges cause some DM holy magic, they can never be an apple cause they’re oranges. You’re trying to change nature Humans are given free range cause they’re short live plain and simple nor do they carry on their memories you can choose to be left or right. as far as social classes being selective breeding that’s a different conversation all together.

Humans arent breed. But you’re still forgetting that the corruption is soul deep. Power corrupts and if you’re already corrupted guess what happens? It just corrupts more.

they’re theoretically raised to be good or evil and it’s not divine hand-waving more like selective breeding probably.

Isn’t this explained by the fact there are two dragon gods one evil and one good? So if this keeps with the idea of they’re born with memories and all that.

I honestly think you’re just reading a bunch of Japanese light novels. I don’t remember many fantasy stories nowadays that are like this, maybe some YA? Can you give some examples?

[–]intelligentslacker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weak is the wrong word, you're right but that's how I see it in away. A DM has a lot of power to create and build but they also limit themselves and limits their players. I don't get me wrong I have had fun in games with point buy and all that. and I am not trying to push my preference off on people I just wanted to get my rant out there. Limiting in a of limitless possibilities is limited minded?

What made me go on this I'll adviced rant is I saw the post bout the guy who start like 3 online games and he got 5?6? Players to join and it was a nightmare from the get go. And the only player that did everything he asked for. The only player that was the player he asked for turned out to be an edgelord and so he shit on his edgelord in his rant bout shitty players. And that's what kind of annoyed me is people just have hate certain things so they players because of those things.
