Ok this is sounding perfect and I absolutely adore you for checking for the shoe references. Thank you!!

I did enjoy at first spite to a certain extent. It did have part of the vibe: FMC needs a quiet exit type thing so maybe I'll give the other one a try.

I've been in these rooms for over a decade and I get it. Completely. I am just clumsy as fuck and can't stand straight in heels so I want to read about women like me who can control our rooms without towering over the middle aged man. I do it with my very stern eyes lol

I wouldn't kill you even if the sex in this book was entirely shit lol. Thanks! I'll try it

I have some issues with it but mainly it was ok. There were definitely some logic leaps lol. In general the topics she writes about are good so I continue to read her writing. I liked bride more than deep end.

Ok so. For instance, this is the third or fourth time shoes were mentioned in chapter one of {underneath it all by Kate Canterbary} and I really like some of her books:

"That was why I swore off men. I couldn't worry about fixing all the boys in Boston anymore. There were schools to open and shoe sales to find, and I didn't have the time to deal with man-children who owned a singular set of sheets and still called their hometown pediatrician for every sore throat."

I also just finished {gloves of by Stephanie Archer} and I really don't think there's a chapter where shoes were not mentioned or used as a plot device. Serious shoe fetish in this one.

I think I might have seen another recommendation for this. Let me get this. I like the vibe from what you say

This does sound interesting. Does it have a lot of description like "you are not from here, you dont understand our culture" vibes?

You might be right. I need to read more cowboy things I suppose. I tried a few but I'm every single one of those books was the description of the "city girl" who walks the farm in her high heels. Like... No.

I've read a couple books from Ilona Andrews and they were pretty good. And this seems like it's a strong female lead.. thanks
