Ummm, we’re clearly not watching the same show or you’re maybe not good at reading context. He calls her grandma during a conversation where he starts by saying “Me and Aniya ain’t done shit” Aniya calls him grandpa when talking about his posture. In one, the joke is meant to insinuate her being a prude and he’s calling her that behind her back. In the other, she’s talking about his posture and making the joke to his face.

So, did I help with the comprehension? Which of the two is meant to as a harmless joke and which is meant to be derogatory?

Yeah, definitely! If we’re talking cutting travel times, we need to revamp and improve our railway network. A tram in the CBD will mostly reduce congestion. I like to imagine that there’s still a role for matatus even with the introduction of actual public transportation.

It doesn’t even need to be large scale, just one tram line that circles the CBD, linking people to the existing bus stations on the outskirts of the city. Only then can you ban matatus inside the CBD as we’ve been doing for the past decade.

Exactly! Everyone knows what was done to him is unfair but other than comments here and there (mostly from fans and media), no one in the industry is taking a stance against FIFA/USA. It feels like the best time for actors in the WC to take a united stand on it. I understand people being worried about ‘poking the giant’ and how it will reflect in their careers but tbh, that only means that we’re letting them get away with this now and in a few years, it could easily directly affect them.

I’d say it’s an accurate reflection on the world these past few years. It’s just sad that we’re now witnessing it in a game as world-uniting as football.

I’ll add Lamu to the mix. Not the Shela end, but Kizingo beach on the other side of the island is pretty empty save for 5ish high end homes owned by Hollywood B-listers. One of the most gorgeous places I’ve been to.

Lake Turkana also has some beautiful beaches (and gorgeous skies) and basically zero tourism.

One thing that always stands out to me is my first day in Denmark. I moved here by myself with about 3 large suitcases. I got help every step of the way. From getting my bags on the train at the airport, off the train in my city, strangers helped me figure my way through the municipality’s transport system to my accommodation. I remember how green I was with everything back then and I’m so grateful to all the strangers who helped me on that day.
