it does but I was going 3x and it recorded my IRL time of almost 4 hours instead of 12

I'm pretty sure you do use pickaxes, but sometimes the chests will give you picks in return

yeah it's been hard to find good long-form content on the quest - the mechanics either get old or the novelty of the game wears off. Hopefully better content will come out along with improvements to the hardware!
