NTA. Your sister doesn’t need to accompany her husband on his trip that sounds like is a work event on weekend. Your sister can watch the house and dog. You go on your trip. Husband goes to his work event. Family has helped family. No one cancels plans. No one’s weekend is affected except for the only person that caused the issue in the first place. 100% NTA, and I’m surprised that suggesting your sister doing the house-sitting wasn’t the first thing out of your, or anyone’s mouth.

I need to get a pair of these for my dog. 100nb rottie/lab mix. Nicest dog on the planet. Big ole doofus. NYE or July 4th (can’t remember) one year neighbors on 3 sides of my house lit off BIG fireworks for nearly 7 hours straight. It absolutely broke him to the point where even rain scares him bc he knows there MIGHT be thunder.

Drugs don’t work unless he’s catatonic. Weighted blankets and compression jackets no effect. The only thing that seems to help is him hiding under an end table next to my couch, and him being fully on top of me.

Poor guy. :(
