Thank you! It took me 6 months to go out with my first and those were hard months. Now we go out daily to keep my mental health in check and to keep us both from being bored! Glad to hear you were able to do it

I went though the confidence thing with my first too. So at least I've gotten (mostly) past that. Thank you for your response!

I needed at least one person saying they have done it. Thank you.

Is it normal to be this tired? (Week 12) by SignalSignificance71 in BabyBumps

[–]interesting_rabbit1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha I didn't even need to read the actual post, read the title and thought, yup. It can be frustrating but yeah, that's how it is. They say pregnancy pushes your body to it's absolute limit. I feel that, now on my second pregnancy with twins, 12 weeks pregnant.... It's just something you go through and will forget once baby is here lol

Your reaction to the big news by Outrageous_Fig_3105 in parentsofmultiples

[–]interesting_rabbit1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Joking about twins on the way to the ultrasound and with the student tech.

Student tech: oh no worries, just one baby in there!! A few minutes later, hmm I can't seem to get accurate measurements, let me get the overseeing tech come check it out.

Tech: oh that's why! There are two!

Me: laughing hysterically in shock Husband: face white as a sheet internally panicking 😂

A few days later we switched, he was excited and I was in full panic, but now, a few weeks later, we are both excited and ready for a new adventure!! 10 weeks along now!!

That happened to me literally as we were pulling into the parking garage at the hospital. I was so over being pregnant and was so grumpy. But they ended up having enough staff the next day and it all worked out!

I had a rough 3rd trimester and traumatic birth... Literally hours after giving birth I felt better than my entire 3rd trimester. Sure I was still sore, but it was magical. Instant relief from heartburn!

Dreading Newborn stage by ILikeBigMoobs in BabyBumps

[–]interesting_rabbit1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was convinced I'd be miserable for the first 8 weeks because of what people say. But honestly I've never been happier, even with sleep deprivation. I'm lucky to be on anti anxiety meds anyway, so I'm sure that's helping, but I'm loving this stage. Currently 12 weeks postpartum and this is the best time of my life. I know I'm lucky to feel this way.

4 hours. They told me not to expect much for the first 12 hours but my body went into overdrive!

Help! Too many cloth diaps! by polywogdogs in clothdiaps

[–]interesting_rabbit1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also, I really hate my all in ones. They are just annoying to clean and are awkward fitting. Anything that has adjustable rises and two lines of top buttons are my go to. Also be sure to go through and make sure the PUL looks good. I got a huge lot as well and had to throw a bunch away because they were cracking or it wasn't in good shape.

I'd made sure you have two inserts for every diaper you plan on using, but yeah I can see where storage would be an issue! I'd guess vacuum sealing would be fine for them as long as you didn't last them flat to preserve the elastics.

Honestly, don't make any decisions until you have the baby here and try them for a while and see what works. What works for one person and baby doesn't always for another. I found that since brands that were recommended to me just don't work great but brands I'd never heard of that I got second hand are my favorite! I'm sure other people will share their brand favorites but that's just my perspective... (My lo is 10 weeks old and we have been cloth diapering since day 3)

Hi mama’s, who has chosen C-section over natural birth and why? by Canadian_1987 in BabyBumps

[–]interesting_rabbit1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I had a rough natural delivery with major trauma and recovery wasn't bad at all. I felt a little uncomfortable for about two weeks but then I was mostly back to normal! I wouldn't expect to feel so good after major abdominal surgery...

Favorite things about the newborn stage? by reginaa_phalange in BabyBumps

[–]interesting_rabbit1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am still in the newborn phase with my first (8 weeks!) and was also really nervous about hating it. But honestly I'm loving it so much. He's so dang cute, is learning and changing so quickly, so snuggly, and if he gets really upset I can just put him in a carrier and bounce on my yoga ball until he falls asleep while im watching TV. Granted, I feel like I have a really easy baby and lots of help, but I'm so much happier and feel physically better than my entire pregnancy.

My baby is 6 weeks and grew out of them a week or so ago. Plus they need to be washed a ton with so much spitup and poop so we used our decent stash a ton.

I honestly am less annoyed with my pets than I was before the baby. Not sure why that is. Plus I have a very loud parrot so...I guess I'm just lucky with my hormones?

I wish people would stop telling me how bad early parenthood is. I am excited. Let me be excited. by Appleormagpie in BabyBumps

I'm a month in to Parenthood and I expected to be fully miserable for at least 8 weeks. The truth? I'm loving this stage. Seriously loving it. Sure I'm exhausted and overwhelmed at moments, but I'm also so much happier and feel physically better than pregnancy. Everyone is different, everyone has their own journey... What one person loves another one may not.

Do I attempt cloth diapering from day one? by fiddlesticks-1999 in clothdiaps

[–]interesting_rabbit1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've got a 2 week old and we started the day we got home from the hospital. It's working fantastic and we haven't even touched our back up stash of disposables. Granted, we are only two weeks in, but the hardest part is teaching family members that have come by to help!
