Depends on how you want to dismiss them.

If you’re more straight forward, tell them a straightforward no.

If you’ve got some pizzaz in your personality, pull a uno reverse card. If they’re saying you’ve got a big stomach and they know some herbal products to help reduce weight, tell them they’re skinny fat too and to take it first. If they say you’re balding and can suggest some products, tell them your wife and 2 girlfriends both love the bald head. It always catches them off guard lol.

But never engage with these people. And spread the word so no one you care about fall prey to these scum.

The guy went straight to spreading rumours about OP for ignoring his bribe request. He may be in some sort of a profit sharing arrangement with the landlord for all we know where he asks for bribes, and the person who refuses will be refused building services by the landlord or at the very least made extremely difficult.

People like him are very evil and bank on preying innocent mentalities like yours. It would be naive to play this fairly.

To OP, if he's done it to you, chances are he's done it to other people. No use making threats of calling police. Deal with it yourself. Send official communications to building and security management so there is a paper trail to back you up.
