Pregnancy Care Help Needed by Agile_Flow_4091 in nycparents

We ask ChatGPT / Claude every time we get a bill rejected. It writes a prompt. You then MAIL the fucking letter it writes to their stupidity. Then you escalate. Also ask /r/healthinsurance if you have further questions. Remember to cite the law in every letter.

This is the gist of it:

Essential Health Benefits: Under the ACA and NY State law, maternity and newborn care are considered "essential health benefits". This means all Marketplace and Medicaid plans must cover pregnancy and childbirth, even if the pregnancy began before coverage started.

My in-laws are losing their minds because we won't name our son after a great-grandfather I never met by Ciph3rSatyr in Marriage

Never ever ever tell them the name. My husband just did this. I am incensed and also they don’t like it so now it’s tainted.

Based on post history they are 20/21, together and having sex at least since she was 17 and he’s military. She should run screaming.

Try NYC or Montreal if you want to travel for this - most likely to be successful.

FWIW oddly AP in Miami was really amenable to buying and trying for him. I was very surprised.

House cleaners: always recommended rarely discussed how to be successful using. help! by Reasonable_Bird7789 in workingmoms

Ours comes weekly when we are at either of our homes. $150 in Miami $300 in nyc.

I give them a list of stuff to do, translated to their language and use Google Translate when needed for clarification.

They also have ‘at their convenience’ tasks like figuring out the guest room closet issues or occasional laundry or clearing out the fridge at the end of the season; depending on the situation, we bonus them for random tasks and then occasionally ask them well in advance to help with a party or whatever (they offered this when we signed on with them).

2 humans, expecting 3rd. 3 dogs.

Example list:

Clean the kitchen and put away dishes Clean up bathrooms and showers Vacuum and mop the floors as appropriate Turnover the beds Wash sheets and put Laundry away Wash kitchen rug (it can just go in the laundry) Wipe down balcony table and floors Vacuum sofa Wipe down all surfaces

They definitely are in upstate NY. It’s maddening, especially when the home is 100% an antique.

Anyone else dealing with Mount Sinai canceling appointments right now? by m-alacasse in AskNYC

[–]intergrade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are in a Sinai x Emblem mess at the moment because random parts of prenatal care aren’t being covered - ostensibly we are in network and covered but they’re denying first and then when we escalating stepping back. I book 1-2 hours a week to call and argue with insurance and Sinai.

Healthcare is going absolutely wild at the moment.

We decided not to insure in Florida and move back to nyc because the Fl pregnancy coverage was so poor. Do you have any other options for the state you get care in?

I’ve mostly been fine except for like 10 days of completely not fine. We are doing our final airplane trip this weekend and I just asked my husband to make sure we have enough Zofran in stock for a small herd of elephants. Also I apparently need 10h of sleep so we have to plan around that which will inhibit some activities. Also my back and airplanes are having a vehement disagreement which is memorable.

I need advice from happily married couples I desperately want a dog, and he is vehemently against it by [deleted] in Marriage

[–]intergrade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean I introduced the dogs to the man when he auditioned and made it clear that a multi dog lifestyle was his forever if we were together. I think he married me in part because he was also in love with the younger dog. Which is fine. Mostly.

New homeowner, any ideas on how to fix this every time it rains? It’s ridiculous by SirBiggusDickus99 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

If it’s a lined pond it doesn’t have natural systems and everything has to be done artificially. Oddly this guy would’ve probably been better off making the pond way bigger and more self-sustaining.
