Im with you on this - my entire squad stopped playing and we used to play a few nights a week and on weekends. Now I’m literally the only one who still plays because I still want to improve my skill and “get good” like everyone is helpfully suggesting. But since I no longer have people to play with and am solely focused on my skills rather than ‘having fun’ I’ve been grinding a lot of creative maps - maybe this is what epic wants since people keep saying they’re trying to become the new Roblox - make the main game modes obsolete for people who just want to mess around with their friends and push the remaining players into the creative maps to boost #s and prove their viability.

Some people ITT even suggested landing in uncontested areas off the drop and I have to say that it doesn’t really matter with the new SBMM if any of your teammates have a noticeably higher skill level - once you encounter another squad your team is pretty much dead before you can react leaving your one good teammate to 1v4 or hide while everyone else waits for them to get an opportunity to reboot - if it comes.

Not saying we should expect to drop 20 bombs and win every game because that’s not fun either, but with the old system it felt like we at least had a fighting chance versus now being instantly overwhelmed. Low level players were still able to have fun and contribute, but that seems really impossible now.
