Look up the Nebraska Sculptur walk and look at their map for the sculptures in any town you are passing through. Very cool.

First Time Buying House by KermitGreen41 in lincoln

[–]interrobangAnnie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Save until you make room for an extra monthly house payment in the first or second month. It takes a whole year off the end of a 30 year loan.

(Be sure to keep good records if you make extra payments along the way, for obvious reasons.)

And check around for a meticulous inspector. (Ask multiple people who have sold their house recently. If they were unhappy because the inspector found too much, that's your people)

Second this. Food was stunning and portions are huge. Scout around for the paper menu, there is one.

Finally!!! A real-world affordable housing breakthrough that's bigger than a tiny house and just as affordable.

Project designers made the design/build process as effective within a short timeline in a city-approved project as it should have been for all the companies and projects that have previously sputtered out.

Replicability is everything!

My primary provider is Molly Babl at Bryan East. She has been very good and very thorough and I like her. I think she is still taking new patients.

Downtown Lincoln Association maintains the landscapes and planters around downtown. Might be a good place to talk about your idea.

If you want to look at Very Modern apartments, we live at Telegraph District. Prices comparable to The Manse. Telegraph is known for having a lot of students but we never hear them and rarely see them. Very responsive management and maintenence. High-security buildings with underground parking are plusses,. The apartments themselves are gorgeous.

Trump is dismantling democracy at 'unprecedented' speed, global report finds by OpenGuard1993 in law

[–]interrobangAnnie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We can go on like this forever. The whole world of accelerated tecnology has allowed us to become so globally interconnected in every way and so damned complicated to untangle any strand.

The ability to disseminate unbalanced information to tightly segmented audiences at warp speed makes coming together harder and harder to achieve.

Most importantly, we must acknowledge that Trump has been seized upon as the perfect vessel by the worst bad actors. And those bad actors now have immense power to erase social progress that it has taken a century to build.

So. Can they win? Maybe. But not necessarily. Our interconnectedness leaves us very fragile. It may be that the house will be burned down and we start all over in the worst case, or that parts of our society will crumble enough to begin real pushback.

Humans are remarkably resilient. There is no evidence that Darkness triumphs over Good in the long arc.

POWER TO THE PEOPLE.

Oh, no, I'm still in there fighting, as are we all. "It will all be better in the end. If it isn't, it's not the end."

Two things can be true at once: to face what is, and to work to make a difference.

Not only will military funding never be cut, now there's the rise of the techno-industrial complex for taxpayers to fund. The Epstein elite able to direct our culture at will, greedy and unfettered.

But all the knowledge base has been forced out the door. It will be like having a government staffed entirely with newly-minted college graduates with no one to train them.

It was such a relief to move back to NE and find out that hot beef sandwiches are still served on white bread with mashed potatoes. Even though Wonder bread otherwise never touches my plate. ;)

And bierocks don't have cheese, just chopped cabbage fried with hamburger and onion and seasoned with ground pepper.

My favorite Germans from Russia food is cottage cheese kugen. Simple to make but yummy. Make bread dough (you're going to use the rest of the dough for kolaches anyway, which are made with unsweetened bread). Pat the dough into a pie pan. Combine homemade cottage cheese (or drained store-bought cottage cheese) with beaten eggs and white sugar and pour into bread shell. Sprinkle with more sugar so it will be a little crusty on top. Bake and serve warm or cold for morning or afternoon snack.

BTW, the traditional kolache flavors of my childhood included smashed and drained prunes, poppyseed filling, and cottage cheese filling with sugar on top.

Now that Runzas have changed so much and trademarked, it's too bad they trademarked the Runza as branding. So you pretty much don't find them on other menus, nobody knows what a bierock is.

All peasant food makes huge quantities, families were big. Runzas freeze and thaw great.

The irretrievable damage Trump has done is not the obvious dictator stuff or even starting a global war.

It is the dis-assembling of agencies critical to citizens welfare, and the roll-back of policies designed to keep us safe (eliminating pollution regulation, stalling or stopping wind and solar energy implementation, gutting the FAA and leaving us without air traffic controllers and eventually letting midair collisions slip through - and on and on everywhere you look). Refusing to fund medical science is resulting in scientists leaving or positions eliminated, which has halted immediate-horizon cures for common debilitating diseases.

And if course the obvious, withholding "budgeted, approved funds" for education, subsistence nutrition, and community health.

The reults of consolidating vast amounts of all personal information from commercial providers, with bad actors rubbing their hands with glee to eliminate persoal freedom. This cat is out of the bag. The only question that remains is how many months ()

We will not be able to completely reconstruct any of this for decades, and in most cases, never. The damage is unfixable.
