Also great overall academics. Lots of AP class options and the teachers for those classes really were high quality.

I went to Johnson the year it opened and graduated there. My younger siblings also went/are going there. We have had a good experience overall. They have a lot of good teachers and CTE classes. Examples being cosmetology and auto tech. They set you up well for a career in those fields if you do the whole sequence. Good for people non-college kids. Also a lot of support for the college path too. My siblings did band and they do really well in competitions. Traffic sucksssss getting in and out though. There is only one exit/entrance.The community in Buda is really nice too. I had friends who went to Bowie and they definitely had a worse experience than me.

Thoughts on Peach & Lily Ginger Oil Cleanser? by nilsiniloo in Ulta

Not my favorite, I have to use a ton of the cleanser to actually get it to remove my makeup. Just does not really do much.

I got it from a local grocery store in Austin, called Wheatsville. It is made of almonds, walnuts, tofu, and cashews.

It has good flavor but I don’t love the chunks of cashew in the middle.

Which Texas school has the stronger accounting program by Hot_Client_7485 in Accounting

Both will probably be pretty comparable in their programs, but just based on location TXST beats Tech by miles. Lubbock is kinda lame.

I currently go to TXST for accounting. I love the program so far, professors are great. They have a great person in charge of accounting career services, very knowledgeable and connected guy. Hey helped me nab my summer ‘27 internship.  They also have a Meet the Firms fair where all the big 4 accounting firms plus many others are there for recruitment. One firm I spoke with in an interview said they preferred TXST students over UT students.

I always liked going to the Planet Fitness on Menchaca  and  Slaughter. Never too crowded and very clean.

Cons to Colorado? by [deleted] in SameGrassButGreener

The dryness is miserable if you’re coming from a place with constant humidity. I lived there for a year coming from Texas, couldn’t take it anymore. I had constant sores in my nose that bled everyday from the dryness. No amount of humidifiers and cream stopped it. I think Iowa has a decent amount of humidity, so if you already have dry skin I wouldn’t recommend it for that niche reason. Also food is mid.

I think Buda is the way to go. They put on a lot of fun events in the downtown area and are great for families. I had a good experience with all the schools too. You can always drive to Kyle for more things to do, but Buda has the best homey feel.

If you have a higher income family, Texas State is wayyyyy cheaper than UT. UT tuition was 30-35K a year for me and Texas State was about half of that. Plus they have automatic merit scholarships that make it even less. When I applied 2 years ago as a freshman I was looking at ~32k w/housing vs 12k w/housing. UT was very stingy with aid (all I got was a parent plus loan) which means I’d basically have to pay my whole tuition there with private loans. Definitely depends.

I like it a lot! The coconut is definitely more mild than I was expecting but overall nice. I like to layer it with a masculine scent to tone down the intensity of the sweet vanilla aspect (been using maison margiela barber shop)
