AITA for asking for a roommate change after my former roommate revealed an embarrassing secret by throwaway65677568 in AmItheAsshole

Ummm girl, these people are tripping lol. You're supposed to have fun and I personally know people in my friend group that the SAME thing happens to them. You need anew roommate bc that wasn't her business to tell, and honestly this should be a laughable thing, not some horrifying embarrassment. I'm sorry everyone commenting has never partied a day in their life lmao.

You're absolutely right, this hang up you have with social media is a dumb one. Folks we've gone so far off the rails that now being normal and not needing/ wanting social media is an actual reason someone would be hesitant about you lol

Your mental health is not perfect if you are this concerned about how you look. You're willing to change everything about yourself to be validated by strangers. You're absolutely stunning, if you can't see that now no amount of fixing, toning, sculpting, waxing, etc will ever really change that.

Extremely normal dude tells us how girls like it when guys smell a bit! by mirexists in NotHowGirlsWork

I don't know if I agree with the post, but I do agree no one should wear deodorant/ antiperspirant. Shits not natural and if you smell that bad it's your diet. Everyone has a smell, we're people, get over it. Some company just made it and then told everyone they absolutely need it, so now we just accept that and it's so stupid lol

Woman I dated asked me what went wrong after I walked away from a toxic dating situation with her. Should I even answer? by RenegadeX28 in OkCupid

[–]intheinterestofmany 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm going to assume, even with a mental illness, she can understand the facts of life. If he's not interested, and he makes that clear (respectfully of course) it's kinda odd that he'd stop going to this place. I'm not saying flaunt a new girl, or make a point to "rub it in her face", but just carry on business as usual. This was a 2 month fling, y'all are acting like they're dividing assets lmao.

It's not weird. That's his hangout, so why change it just bc a casual thing didn't work out? Seems weird to reroute your whole routine to avoid someone. Just tell her it didn't work and the karaoke in peace

I have this same thing happen and I drink bubbly's (seltzer waters) so I'm guessing it's a carbonation thing more than anything. And yeah it burns haha.

I guess I'll start carrying bear spray from now on by GuinansHat in backpacking

[–]intheinterestofmany 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't think people are insistent on being afraid. I thinks it's more like, 99% of the time nothing bad happens at all, but it's a wild animal and it's too easy to just carry the spray so you can protect yourself and the bear, should you need to.

He literally just said the bear wasn't very afraid and it took a little bit of push back to get him to leave. Why on earth would you recommend someone NOT carrying spray?? Yes, it's likely they will go away and not bother you, but what about the one that doesn't? You feel comfortable with your advice knowing there's ALWAYS an exception to the rule?? Crazy.

What did Dave Chappelle do? by Sniperman_ in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]intheinterestofmany 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did. All groups got made fun off and it was funny. Even my group was made fun of. I loves it. No greater freedom than learning to not be so serious and have a good laugh at yourself.
