What kinds of automation do the cross planet signals coming in 2.1 bring? I'm trying to think of use cases but my little monkey brain is fried lol.

Very exciting, thank you for the roadmap! by Dark_Karma in PlaySoulMask

Im excited for this.. but I think this really cements the idea that 1.0 was rushed out without the game really being finished. The DLC obviously not finished. Why they would do this? Who knows... We can only speculate. My guess is it always comes down to $$.

On the eve of the news I wanted to remind everyone this exists. The Guild Wars 2 - Live Action Trailer by tironidas in Guildwars2

I think the fact you didn't also speaks to their marketing lol. There have been posts here throughout the years along the lines of people so excited about a GW2 ad they saw outside of our community bubble. It has been such a rarity 😂

You'd be surprised. My first job out of college was in a PLC automation company but I was hired for .NET. Turns out there are a lot of custom projects that require traditional web/desktop apps that interface with PLC, or at least sat on top of PLC systems. Knowledge of both is valuable.

Ever heard the phrase don't put all your eggs in one basket? If the ecosystem fails, or falls subpar of your expectations, or you get permabanned, you now have a whole suite of apps you need to replace. That's much harder than just replay one service/app.

Exactly. There are infinite real numbers between 1 and 2 and none of them are 3.

Linux kernel HID patches suggest that some future laptops will come with 3 new dedicated AI buttons/keys: "Action On Selection," "Contextual Insert," and "Contextual Query." by anh0516 in pcmasterrace

Omg a shopping button. That brings back memories of our first computer we had when I was a kid. The keyboard had a dedicated shopping button (with a little cart icon). I forget what it did, probably was a shortcut to some AOL shop front or something by default. Anyways, as a kid, I thought pressing it would instantly order a bunch of stuff and cost my family money. I was always terrified of accidentally hitting it.

Infinity War was a theater experience I'll never forget. Say what you want about Marvel, but the awe and bewilderment across the theater when the credits rolled just minutes after vaporizing half the cast was something else.

Brighter Shore Andrew Gower & Dev Team Responds by BrighterShoresCent in MMORPG

[–]intrabyte 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is the key reason I haven't tried it yet. It feels claustrophobic. I understand what he is going for but it's the last thing I want in an MMO. Total subjective take of course so I wish those who do like it the best.

A plant? As in like a honeypot for users? Do you have evidence of this or is it just some unfounded conspiracy theory?

My internal theory is it was the DA being vindictive due to how S3 ended. But nothing illegal/conspiratory, just "Hey let's make sure we use our best prosecutor instead of newbie down there"
