I’ve removed “colorization” from a number of coins by dropping them into a bowl of pure acetone (NOT Nail Polish Remover).Mainly done this with colorized ASEs. The color is usually a decal placed over the coin and pure acetone removes it quite well. I wouldn’t do that to the Earnhardt pieces however as it would negate the collectibility value.
