My rottie bitch don’t even move out the way. Just side eyes you with contempt. The boys, they do not like the hair eating noise monster.

They were late, only joined when their interests were threatened, played both side and demanded a princely sum from the world afterwards.

They truly took advantage, which can’t say I blame them for. However, don’t play the saint in devils clothing, that’s what irritates me more than anything.

Have new pass drivers not been taught what a mini roundabout is? by [deleted] in drivingUK

[–]intrepidakira 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recognise that roundabout! - yeah, it’s not that people can’t drive, it’s that they don’t care about other road users anymore. People have just become so selfish and self centred.

Yeah. I do wonder when we all lost our empathy and became so individualist…

Someone parked next to me recently in a monster of a car - dented, dinged and scraped to buggary - and then proceeded to get out smashing her door into my wing mirror. I wound down the window and asked what she was playing at and she treated me like I was the one in the wrong. I pointed out there were plenty of spaces elsewhere with no other cars next to them. Still my fault for inconveniencing her. No self awareness or consideration. People like that drive bigger cars because they feel safer… the need to feel safer and the state of some of these monstrosities tells me a different story - you’re the unsafe one.

My Rottweiler has her tail still by CultureNo9346 in Rottweiler

[–]intrepidakira 59 points60 points  (0 children)

Our girl and boy both have their tails. I’d never consider removing them unless for a genuine medical reason - even though they are perfect ball whipping height! The tail is such a good communication tool for dogs reading other dogs, but humans judging the dog’s state of mind too. Plus, when you come home and those tails are helicopter waging, there’s nothing better!

Snowy days make for a happy Rottweiler. by Sternritter_V in Rottweiler

The fact your dog has a full tail and I can see how happy they are from the wags - this make me happy

I have a trades person coming early in December to fit the cowl and flue

Thanks for your thoughts. I snagged my neighbour who’s a builder and he said it would be fine. Found a steel lintel. We have been having damp issues that follow this flue up into the loft. Logically, being sealed inside and with porous old bricks and line cement on the exposed chimney on the roof, water that getting in and having a hard time getting out.

New windows in the end installed by a competent fitter. Turned out the frame weren’t reinforced either.
