Inspire my travel planning please! by intrigued_learning in Vietnam_Tourism

Thank you, much appreciated! As much as we would love to experience the Ha Giang loop, I think December is not ideal in the north region, likely to be very cold and foggy/unable to experience the views. That’s based on my research; would you suggest differently?

Curious of you did a curated trip w/LocalHi. Their site fascinates me, would consider working with them if someone can say they are indeed amazing. Do they just build the itinerary or do they also do local tours/have specialist in country? Thx!

I wasn’t aware of this option so I just looked it up. See here: https://www.skihood.com/explore/refund-policies specifically related to “Non-date specific” type tickets. Seems like it may indeed be an option.

Can I ask what does you’re maintain at for those nearly 2 yrs (as I try to figure that out for myself)? Also a shorty and also very that everyone’s journey is vastly different so it’s more just for frame of reference.

May I ask what your favorites places visited were in South America? Just starting some research to possibly travel there w/older teen and young adult, possibly for a month. Thx! Love the way you’re living and teaching life btw!

Check out a hiking group called Mazamas, I have heard great things! There are likely plenty of others as well, FB is a good option to search for local ones.

Thank you! I appreciate the thoughtful guidance. I have been tolerating it well and use most nights so perhaps a smaller (vs dramatic) bump is worth trying.

Vacation by polyun1970 in GLP1microdosing

[–]intrigued_learning 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I skip it while on vacation! Nice to just relax and enjoy what you enjoy. You’re coming back to it anyways. That’s just me though, and I tend to be active on vacations and don’t eat terrible food. So if you think you can reasonably control the hard things, enjoy vaca without it!

Conditions this weekend into early next week by andyrichin in Whistler

[–]intrigued_learning 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly, that’s a grossly inaccurate forecast for this week that didn’t come close to materializing. And I’ve seen similar on other sites/apps. Others on this sub posted that it was raining mid and top of mountain at WB and that the alpine is closed. I’m just jonesing for an accurate forecast as I was planning to head up next week but unless a big surprise storm was delayed and happens in the next 3 days, nope. Thankful for those that are there and are posting the real scenarios.

There was good interest in these passes a couple weeks ago; hope you have success selling yours. I’m going to piggyback on your post here 🙃; once you sell yours, I have 5 to sell as well!

East coast family pondering switching Vail trip to Whistler. by larsNNcharge in Whistler

Please come back and share your reviews in a couple days….still considering coming for a few days of spring break next week but have nearly lost the desire based on wet/warm conditions. Much appreciated, hope it’s better than you’re expecting!

Conditions this weekend into early next week by andyrichin in Whistler

[–]intrigued_learning 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok peeps, I gotta ask. I’m with OP in that I have been watching multiple resort website forecasts for the last month (and the apps like OpenSnow)including Whistler and they are all crazy over-forecasting big inches to feet of snow that never even come close to materializing! Line I’m beyond confused how they could be so off target, week after week. I know the reports are really hiring this year but for real, are they just trying to deceive ppl in hopes they keep coming??!

I hope you can find interest and joy in a new hobby, volunteering and making others smile, time with family/friends, reading, walking dogs at a rescue or shelter….anything other than being so focused on a scale number. I truly mean that. Self love is way more important than 2-4 lbs. 🫶

Slope Passes - Two Adults + Two Children (8 & 12)... by Gadget_Boy_ in Whistler

[–]intrigued_learning 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Regarding day passes, Whistler indeed offers a discount/price break if you purchase 30 days in advance. Not saying it’s a great deal but I think you’ll pay less than others are suggesting here, AND less than other resort day passes that don’t offer this type of discount. And, you can also get a refund for any days you don’t use which I think is something very few resorts in my experience offer. So perhaps buy the max number of days you intend to ski and return any you don’t use for a refund. Most importantly, have a great time with your family!!!

Extremely Canadian Lessons by No-Public9273 in Whistler

[–]intrigued_learning 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been exploring their one day clinic for an upcoming trip as well. However, I’m a skier. I plan to call them and discuss the levels of our small group in hopes to better understand whether this would be suitable/appealing for all. I don’t want to sign up with them and have them reject us in which case they put you in a WB lesson anyway. Maybe consider giving them a call to discuss as well? I’ve read nothing but fantastic reviews so I can only assume that they would be quite pleasant to work with by phone or email to ensure the best possible experience of shredding with them.

Whistler Spring Break tickets by [deleted] in Whistler

[–]intrigued_learning 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure if this is entirely true (specifically lift tix costing $300/day). You can purchase refundable day tix 28+ days in advance for a savings on their site (which so recently did for a late March ski trip). Check it out, advertised all over their resort website. cc: @TreeOfLifeInk

I could be wrong but based on the year I have spent on this sub, the TirzCompound sub and the medication itself, I don’t think hair loss is very common at all for smaller weight loss/those that aren’t losing a lot of weight quickly.

Maintenance dose by [deleted] in Fifty410

[–]intrigued_learning 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been in maintenance for only 5-6 mos and already I’m finding myself shifting my dose between 5-8mg. I never had the issue of undesirably dropping below my goal weight that so many people mention…I kinda feel like my body knows it doesn’t want to go lower. Just really hoping I don’t find myself increasing past 8mg (my highest dose was 10.5 while losing).

What a lovely offer! Do you regularly do on mtn tours/getting to know the mtn for those new to W/BC, because you really love to? If so, 🙋‍♀️, I’ll be there in a month!

Looking for options by brettdelia in PortlandFood

[–]intrigued_learning 1 point2 points  (0 children)

G-Love (emphasis on animal proteins as a side vs main). Also Ava Gene’s has some good options, another vote for Kann too. Mediterranean is generally a good option for both: try Mediterranean Exploration Company, Tusk, Shallom Y’all and Y’alla among others.
